Sri Lankan pacer Shaminda Eranga has been reported for a suspect bowling action after the second Test against England in Chester-le-Street.
Eranga will undergo testing on his action in an ICC accredited lab within 14 days. During this period, he is allowed to continue bowling in international cricket until the results of the testing are known.
Eranga is the second Sri Lankan bowler to be reported for a suspicious action in recent times. Tharindu Kaushal, the offspinner, was reported and then banned from bowling the doosra in December 2015.
He has played 18 Tests, 17 One-Day Internationals and three Twenty20 Internationals since his debut in 2011. In the ongoing series against England, he has managed just one wicket from three innings.
