Sri Lankan fast bowler Shaminda Eranga has been cleared by ICC of his illegal bowling action.
He was reported by England back in 2016 during their 2nd Test and subsequently, his bowling action was found illegal.
Eranga underwent reassessment recently and it was found that his elbow extension was within the 15-degree level allowed by the ICC.
Eranga last played cricket back in June 2016. He can now resume bowling in international cricket.
Sri Lanka will now host India for 3 Tests, 5 ODIs and 1 T20. Recently, they lost an ODI series 3-2 to Zimbabwe. However, they won the Only Test against Zimbabwe.
