19.4 - Tanvir to James Vince, FOUR, full toss on the pads from round the wicket, Vince comes slightly across and helps it fine past Irfan at short fine leg, the fielder should have put in the dive there but doesn't. Races away to the fence in a jiffy

18.3 - Irfan to James Vince, FOUR, slightly back of a length and angling down the leg-side, Vince gets down on one knee and helps it fine behind square on the leg-side, the fielder in the deep runs across to his right, slides near the rope but can't prevent it from reaching the fence

14.3 - Tanvir to Woakes, FOUR, smashed! Woakes backs away a little to give himself room, slaps this length delivery just outside off over extra cover, clears the fielder easily and it crashes into the fence in no time

12.2 - Anwar Ali to S Billings, FOUR, banged in short and outside off, Billings rocks back and uses the pace on the ball, pulls it to the right of mid-wicket, the fielder in the deep runs to his left but the ball beats him to the fence

5.0 - Tanvir to James Vince, FOUR, Tanvir hasn't found his line today. Bowls one on the pads once again, Vince flicks it past a diving mid-wicket, the ball beats the fielder and races away to the fence. England are off to a flier after losing Roy for nought

4.2 - Tanvir to Root, FOUR, Root is taking the attack to the opposition. This time he dances down the track, couldn't quite get to the pitch of the ball as he goes for another lofted shot, he somehow manages to slice it over the man at mid-off and the ball trickles away to the fence yet again

3.5 - Irfan to Root, FOUR, fullish delivery outside off, it was another slower ball from Irfan, Root picked it early and goes for the lofted drive, didn't time it too well but it had enough on it to reach the fence after clearing the infield easily

3.0 - Aamer Yamin to Root, FOUR, fantastic bit of wrist work from Root. Takes a step forward and works this length delivery past mid-on, he got enough power behind it to beat the fielder who dives across to his right but couldn't get any part of the body behind it, hits the fence in no time

2.1 - Aamer Yamin to Root, FOUR, glorious shot! Root reaches out for this length delivery outside off, drives it right off the middle and gets it to the right of backward point, races away to the fence in a jiffy

19.0 - Irfan to James Vince, SIX, thumped! Slightly short outside off, Vince stands tall in the crease and tonks it way over backward square leg with a big swipe, there was a fielder in the deep but he was a mere spectator

17.5 - Anwar Ali to Woakes, SIX, what a super strike! Overpitching outside off, Woakes gets down on one knee, opens the face of the bat as he goes for the lofted drive and carves it way over the sweeper cover fence. That was magnificently timed by Woakes

17.1 - Anwar Ali to Woakes, SIX, now Ali has been smacked out of the park. That travelled 98 metres! On a length and right in the slot, Woakes clears his front leg and whacks it over the cow corner fence with a meaty swing of the arms. Lands on the roof and falls on the other side of the ground

16.2 - Irfan to Woakes, SIX, mammoth! Woakes does extremely well to time this to perfection. Backs away a little to give himself room to free his arms, lofts this full delivery inside-out over extra cover, he made a very solid connection and the ball sails well over the boundary rope

8.1 - Anwar Ali to Eoin Morgan, SIX, Morgan has had his sighter and he decides to give the charge this time around. Ali saw him and bowled it short, Morgan adjusts well and manages to slog it over the cow corner region, didn't hit it too well but this ground is not too big, goes over the rope for a maximum

3.3 - Irfan to Root, SIX, Root this time doesn't miss out. Nails the big hit to perfection. Slightly short and on the stumps, Root stays back, gets into position early and whacks it over deep square leg for a maximum

19.5 - Tanvir to James Vince, out Caught by U Akmal!! Akmal has been the best fielder for Pakistan today. Takes his third catch of the night and it's another good one. Vince departs just four short of his fifty. Another slower short ball outside off, Vince pulls it straight down the throat of deep mid-wicket, Akmal settles under it, it was hit flat and the momentum could have taken Akmal over the rope, he though did extremely well to maintain his balance and hangs onto the catch. James Vince c U Akmal b Tanvir 46(45) [4s-3 6s-1]

19.1 - Tanvir to Woakes, out Caught by U Akmal!! Woakes departs after lifting England to a respectable total. His contribution might well make the difference in the end. Banged in short this time around, Woakes goes for the pull but can only manage a top-edge that goes high in the air. Akmal from mid-wicket backtracks and takes the skier with ease in the end. Woakes c U Akmal b Tanvir 37(24) [4s-1 6s-3]

12.3 - Anwar Ali to S Billings, out Caught by U Akmal!! Wicket number 6 for Pakistan and England don't even have 90 runs on the board. They are struggling to get a partnership going. This was slightly short and angled in on the pads, Billings was looking to slog it away, can only manage a top-edge that balloons over the man at mid-wicket, Umar Akmal backtracks, keeps his eyes on the ball and takes a well-judged catch, tumbles afterwards but manages to hold on. Even though it looked like that it might pop out of his hands, Akmal did extremely well to keep it into his palms with the help of his fingertips. S Billings c U Akmal b Anwar Ali 7(8) [4s-1]

10.3 - Irfan to James Vince, out Buttler Run Out!! Suicidal run between the two. England are definitely in trouble here in Sharjah.this was banged in short and at the batsman, Vince can only glove his pull, the ball rolls away towards the keeper as the batsmen decide to take a single. The keeper runs forward and underarms the throw at the striker's end, Buttler puts in the dive but still falls short of his crease. Buttler run out (Rizwan) 2(3)

9.1 - Shoaib Malik to Eoin Morgan, out Bowled!! Malik strikes first ball! Like an action replay of the English skipper's dismissal in the third ODI. Morgan is livid with himself but the Pakistanis are delighted. A flighted delivery on the stumps, Morgan decides to stay back as he was looking to defend with a straight blade, the ball spins away ever so slightly, misses the blade and rattles the stumps. Morgan should have been forward to that ball and his decision to stay on the back foot was his undoing. Eoin Morgan b Shoaib Malik 15(14) [6s-1]

6.0 - Afridi to Moeen Ali, out Caught&Bowled!! What is happening here? Afridi suddenly has turned the game around. His arms are up in joy immediately after he takes the catch. This was pushed through quicker outside off, Ali's eyes lit up seeing the width as well, he tries to flat-bat the pull back past the bowler, doesn't get the desired elevation and can only find Afridi, who hardly had to move to take the catch. England find themselves in a spot of bother here. Moeen Ali c and b Afridi 0(1)

5.5 - Afridi to Root, out Bowled!! Afridi gets the much-needed breakthrough and Root's stay at the crease comes to an end. He did his job though - giving England a good start after the loss of Roy. This one was bowled much fuller and darted on leg, Root clears his front leg as he looks to go big, the ball beats the inside edge of his blade and crashes into the leg stump. Root b Afridi 32(22) [4s-4 6s-1]

0.1 - Aamer Yamin to Jason Roy, out Lbw!! This is just too good from the debutant. First ball for Pakistan in T20Is and he takes a wicket. Dream start for the 25-year-old. Coming to the ball, it was on a length and jagged back in sharply from outside off, Roy was looking to work it on the on-side, misses it completely and gets caught in the crease in line with middle stump. The umpire took his time before raising his finger. Terrific start for Pakistan. Jason Roy lbw b Aamer Yamin 0(1)

17.0 - Irfan to Woakes, 1 run, oh my god! Three fielders converge on the same ball but it was Anwar Ali who dropped it. Slower ball on the stumps, Woakes was looking to go big, was too early into the shot and ends up getting it high off the bat. The ball goes miles in the air, three fielders were going after it but it was Ali who ran in from third man, gets both hands to it but spills it over. You can't afford to do this at this level

1.2 - Tanvir to James Vince, no run, dropped! It was a difficult chance though. Just short of a good length and outside off, Vince punches it hard back towards the bowler, who hardly had any time to react. He tries to take evasive action as he puts his left hand out, the ball brushes the thumb and rolls away behind the bowler

18.2 - Irfan to Woakes, 1 run, 50 of the partnership comes up! Low full toss around off, Woakes drives it to sweeper cover for a single

18.5 - Jordan to Shoaib Malik, FOUR, this will do. This will do just fine. Full and wide out of Malik's swinging reach, he chases it on one leg (as he had gone down on the back foot too early) and sneaks in an edge which flies away fine of third man

18.0 - Willey to Shoaib Malik, FOUR, Malik is waging on for Pakistan. Short ball, he had to wait on the back foot and then pulls it hard and pulls it for four wide of deep mid-wicket

17.5 - Willey to Shoaib Malik, FOUR, that's almost robotic. His eyes trace a line between short third man and backward point. His feet make room to open that gap up. And he slices this back of a length delivery to hit that gap

16.3 - Jordan to Shoaib Malik, FOUR, low full toss smeared through the point region. Skims across the turf, and sweeper cover had no chance

14.2 - Woakes to Shoaib Malik, FOUR, superb. Simply superb. Seam-up back of a length delivery in the channel outside off, Malik waits for it to come, then kisses it on its head with a dab. Played it when the ball was past him to send it very fine

14.1 - Woakes to Shoaib Malik, FOUR, things are running for this pair at the moment. Off-cutter on a length just outside off, Malik swings across the line, gets an inside edge which whistles past leg-stump to the fine leg fence

13.0 - Adil Rashid to Shoaib Malik, FOUR, shimmies down, meets the pitch of this flighted ball and drills it back past the bowler. Rashid tries to get low and get a hand but the ball is already past him. The fielder at long-off runs to his right, puts in the dive but the ball beats him to the fence

6.0 - Jordan to Rizwan, FOUR, a poor ball to offer with fine leg up. Off-cutter, short enough and turning down leg, Rizwan bends his back knee and swats it away wide of short fine leg

5.4 - Jordan to Rizwan, FOUR, swivels on the back foot while his front foot was off the ground, it's a back of a length delivery on the hips, Rizwan helps the short-arm jab nicely behind square. Raced off his willow

5.3 - Jordan to Rizwan, FOUR, there's a flash, there's a top edge and the ball skims away fine of third man. He absolutely threw his hands at it and that's what usually happens with a top edge

3.4 - Jordan to Shoaib Malik, FOUR, backs away while taking a few steps down the pitch, it was there on a length and wide enough to enable a clean swing off the arms, smears it through covers

2.3 - Willey to Rizwan, FOUR, oh, that's pure timing. His feet were nowhere near the ball. Just the hands. Angled across the right-hander on a fuller length, it's sufficiently wide of off, Rizwan just leans towards the ball and laces the drive through covers with a roll of the wrists to keep it along the turf

0.1 - Willey to Ahmed Shehzad, FOUR, first ball. Stiff body, loose ball. The adjectives for the two words should be interchanged ideally. Length ball with an inkling of swing which takes it on the pads, Shehzad simply tickles it away fine. Just had to beat short fine leg and the ball trickles away

19.2 - Woakes to Tanvir, SIX, misses his length and Tanvir hammers it over long-on. Funny that because he didn't even look to muscle it. Still went quite a bit back into the crowd

15.5 - Willey to Afridi, SIX, you can't call that a six. That's a home run. It's gone. A monster well over the roof. Makes room, Willey bowls it on a length in the slot (perhaps a slower one), and Afridi absolutely pulverizes it over deep mid-wicket. Someone will find it in the car park or some street

13.5 - Moeen Ali to Shoaib Malik, SIX, these will help. Give us as many as you can, the Pakistani batsmen would say. Full toss. Or did Malik convert it into one by dancing down? The latter I think. Hurls it over long-on with a clean swing

13.2 - Moeen Ali to Afridi, SIX, now the power of Afridi. Boom! Again premeditates the sweep, Ali tossed it up on a length, Afridi clatters it over backward square leg

12.3 - Adil Rashid to Afridi, SIX, he's bowled a full toss. And to Afridi. What are you doing? Afridi smokes it over wide long-on

10.1 - Adil Rashid to Shoaib Malik, SIX, runs down the track, makes sure to get beside the line of the ball which was drifting in and launches it over long-on

19.5 - Woakes to Shoaib Malik, out Caught by S Billings!! What have we got? What have we got? The Sharjah crowd is having a mini heart-attack. Length ball and Malik's lofted it straight to long-on. Didn't get hold of it at all. Shoaib Malik c S Billings b Woakes 75(54) [4s-8 6s-2]

17.3 - Willey to Afridi, out Bowled!! Someone turned Sharjah to mute. You can hear Willey roar after pumping his fist. Their darling Afridi is gone. Plants his front foot across with back knee bent, gets inside the line of the good length off-cutter, tries to sweep it over short fine leg and .. misses. The ball hits the top of leg. Afridi b Willey 29(20) [6s-3]

11.1 - Moeen Ali to U Akmal, out Caught by Jordan!! Pakistan have lost the plot. And it's Umar Akmal walking back. Sees the flight, goes down on one knee looking to shovel the slog-sweep. And in all honestly, it was there to be hit. Just didn't time it well enough. Jordan ran across to his left at deep mid-wicket, and pouched it safely before tumbling over. U Akmal c Jordan b Moeen Ali 4(9)

8.1 - Adil Rashid to Rizwan, out Caught&Bowled!! I'm really not sure about that. I thought that the ball had hit the turf while Rashid was trying to control it. It flew off the leading edge low to Rashid's left, he stuck out his left hand and the ball stuck in between two fingers. But it was a beautiful delivery in the first place. Floated up on off, Rizwan shimmies down looking to work it against the line, the ball dips on him and he's nowhere near the pitch. Closes the bat face too early. The rest is too blurred. Rizwan c and b Adil Rashid 24(23) [4s-4]

2.2 - Willey to Rafatullah Mohmand, out Lbw!! Now where has that pitched? Definitely going on to hit the stumps but the landing is the only question. Is it slightly outside leg? Have to wait for the replays. Rafatullah walked right across his stumps, failed to get any bat on his attempted glance and was struck in line with leg-stump on the knee roll. Oh yes, replays confirm that it is a top call from the umpire. The whole of the ball is pitching on the pseudo-mat. Rafatullah Mohmand lbw b Willey 0(1)

1.0 - Willey to Hafeez, out Hafeez Run Out!! 1 run completed. All sorts of craziness is transpiring here. Punched wide of mid-off, lots of hesitation during which Rafatullah had taken a few strides down the pitch, then stopped. But Hafeez kept running for the second. The ball is flung to the non-striker's end where there is no sight of a green shirt anywhere near. When the bails were whipped off, Hafeez hadn't crossed his partner. Hafeez run out (Woakes/James Vince/Eoin Morgan) 1(1)

0.5 - Willey to Ahmed Shehzad, out Bowled!! If you are teaching youngsters on how to play the game, I hope they didn't watch this over. Horrid stuff. Shehzad sees red for some reason and runs down the pitch. Looks to slog a length ball with a mighty swing. Plays for a little more bounce than there actually was and the ball sneaks under the bottom edge to hit the top of middle. Ahmed Shehzad b Willey 4(5) [4s-1]

16.0 - Willey to Afridi, 1 run, off-pace length ball on the pads, Afridi gently flicks it through mid-wicket. Fifty of the partnership comes up

14.4 - Woakes to Shoaib Malik, 1 run, fifty for Malik. Experience coming to the fore in a run-chase. Another one of his dabs to get to the landmark. How well has he played!
