Barisal Bulls have been ousted from this year's Bangladesh Premier League due to non-payment of tournament fees.
The governing council removed them from the tournament and now only 7 teams will play.
The governing council chairman Afzalur Rahman Sinha said,
“
At a meeting today, we decided that Barisal Bulls will not be participating in the 2017 BPL. They didn't meet the BPL's financial terms and conditions.
”
According to reports, one of the owners of the team were reluctant to run the team this year due to financial difficulties.
The players of the team will be entered in the draft to be held next month.
