Sri Lanka have announced their Test squad for the 2nd Test against India.
Batsman Lahiru Thirimanne has been recalled to the squad after nearly 13 months of being left out.
Spinner Lakshan Sandakan has also been recruited to the squad, while Suranga Lakmal has been ruled out due to a back injury.
Thirimanne will be the effective replacement of Asela Gunaratne, who injured his finger and has been ruled out of the entire series.
Dinesh Chandimal will also return as captain after sitting out of the 1st Test due to pneumonia.
India won the 1st Test of the series and are currently leading the 3-match Test series 1-0. The 2nd Test begins on August 3rd.
