Steve Smith has been officially crowned as Australia's next one-day international captain and will lead a squad featuring seven new faces for the limited-overs matches on the Australian Tour of the British Isles.
Smith will be without World Cup stars Mitchell Johnson and Josh Hazlewood, who have both been rested following the Ashes series defeat, allrounder James Faulkner and opening batsman Aaron Finch, who is still recovering from a foot injury picked up playing county cricket in the UK.
Batsman Joe Burns is in line to make his one-day debut, added to the squad after blistering form on the Australia A tour in India where he last week smashed 14 sixes in posting 154 from just 131 balls in Chennai.

Burns is expected to replace the injured Finch and partner David Warner at the top of the order for Australia's six ODI matches and one T20 international.
National Selection Panel chairman Rod Marsh said Burns had "impressed us immensely" during the 'A' Tour.
"He is a very capable young batsman who has experience opening, and we think he will grab his opportunity with the white ball during this series," said Marsh.
Also in line to make their ODI debuts are spinner Ashton Agar, the sole specialist spinner in the ODI squad, and allrounder Marcus Stoinis. Fast bowlers Nathan Coulter-Nile and James Pattinson plus wicketkeeper Matthew Wade have all been recalled to the national team from the 'A' Tour.
Stoinis will be one of three fast-bowling allrounders in the group with Mitchell Marsh and Shane Watson retaining their spots from the World Cup squad. Stoinis has been added to the squad to replace Faulkner, who was not considered for this series after being arrested for drink-driving in the UK in July. He has subsequently been fined £10,000 and banned from driving for two years.

"Ashton has performed very well with the ball since his return from shoulder surgery," said Marsh. "He has played in these conditions over here before and the NSP believes he has a very bright future."
Agar famously made 98 batting at No.11 on his Test debut at Trent Bridge in the 2013 Ashes, an innings he recently reflected on with cricket.com.au and labelled the "greatest moment in my life".
He also played the second Test at Lord's before Nathan Lyon was recalled. Michael Clarke and Brad Haddin have both retired from 50-over cricket, paving the way for George Bailey to take the former captain's spot in the middle order, while Wade returns full-time to the one-day gloveman's role having last kept wicket for Australia in November 2014.
