Chris Jordan to join Royal Challengers Bangalore

Chris Jordan, the England fast bowler, has been signed by Royal Challengers Bangalore in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) as a replacement for the injured Mitchell Starc

Jordan, who was a member of England’s WT20 side is expected to leave Sussex immediately and head to India to join his new team.

He was not picked up by any franchise during the IPL auction in February.

A part of the Sussex team currently, he has not appeared for them yet as he was resting an elbow injury. Sussex are indifferent about his decision and have no qualms in letting him fulfill his new duties.

Non-Test players are required to return to England by May 17 to ensure their availability in the opening round of T20 Blast matches on May 20. It seems safe to assume Jordan will now not return until May 17.

The Royal Challengers Bangalore will be happy to have him in their side, after having struggled so far to be consistent in the ongoing IPL. Their bowling unit in particular has been heavily criticized and with Jordan in their squad, they will be counting on him to make a difference.
