18.3 - Babar to Rahim, FOUR, innovation! Flighted on middle and leg, Rahim premeditated the reverse sweep, sends it over the backward point fielder, no chance for the sweeper to get across and stop that

16.2 - Babar to Tanvir, FOUR, much needed boundary for Karachi Kings. Low full toss way down leg, Tanvir kneels down and reaches it with his long hands, sweeps it to the right of short fine leg

14.2 - Nabi to Bopara, FOUR, cheeky! Quicker and full toss on off, Bopara stoops low, reverse paddles it to the third man fence, came off the top-edge but went along the ground

11.1 - Mohammad Nawaz to Shakib, leg byes, FOUR, turn for Nawaz. Flighted and spun back in sharply, Shakib kneels down to slog sweep, misses and the ball brushed his trouser, Sarfraz didn't glove it and four bonus runs

5.4 - Mohammad Nawaz to James Vince, FOUR, top shot! Vince is looking in good nick. Shimmies down and meet the pitch of the ball, drives inside out through extra cover, threaded the gap to perfection

3.5 - Babar to Shoaib Malik, FOUR, this is even better. Floated up just outside off, Malik once again steps out, gets to the pitch and lofts it inside out over mid-off, who was brought in after the previous ball

2.2 - Anwar Ali to Shoaib Malik, FOUR, consecutive boundaries for Malik. Short and just outside off, Malik makes room to free his arms, cuts it right between backward point and cover-point. Raced away!

2.1 - Anwar Ali to Shoaib Malik, FOUR, Anwar Ali gifts one to Malik. Low full toss on middle, Malik leans forward and flicks it through mid-wicket, relied on timing rather than blasting it hard

0.2 - Anwar Ali to Nauman Anwar, FOUR, that should get him going. Loose delivery from Anwar Ali, short and width offered outside off, Anwar rides the bounce and cracks it square on the off-side, no chance for the diving backward point fielder

11.0 - Nabi to Shoaib Malik, SIX, into the crowd. A freebie and Malik is too good a batsman to miss out on those. Full toss on the stumps, Malik kneels down and sends it soaring over the deep mid-wicket. That ruins the over and Nabi knows that

4.4 - Aizaz Cheema to James Vince, SIX, wow! Where did that come from? Nothing much wrong with the delivery, it was tad short and around off, Vince stands tall and thumps the pull over deep mid-wicket for a maximum

3.4 - Babar to Shoaib Malik, SIX, lovely shot! Supple use of the feet. Dances down the track, gets a tad too close to the ball, but still managed to get under it and tonked it over the long-on fence

19.4 - Aizaz Cheema to Rahim, out Caught&Bowled!! Rahim had no other option than to go for his shot. Cheema drags the slower ball down, Rahim gets his front leg out of the way to heave, the top-edge flies towards mid-wicket, Cheema calls for it and gets there comfortably. Rahim c and b Aizaz Cheema 6(5) [4s-1]

18.5 - Babar to Usama Mir, out Bowled!! There goes another one. First ball and Mir wanted to send it into orbit. Comes racing down the track, the head falls away as he swings at the slider, misses it by some distance and the leg-pole takes a beating. Usama Mir b Babar 0(1)

18.2 - Babar to Rahim, out Imad Wasim Run Out!! The Karachi innings is going in a downward spiral. Another batsman walks back to the dressing room. Tossed up on off, Rahim drives it hard and straight back to the bowler, Wasim was backing up and Babar had the presence of mind to flick the ball onto the stumps. Out by a mile as the third umpire was not required. Imad Wasim run out (Babar) 2(2)

17.5 - Elliott to Bopara, out Caught&Bowled!! Elliott is doing a Bopara. Oh hang on! He has also done in Bopara. Four wickets and the Kiwi can't seem to do anything wrong. The in-form batsman departs and Karachi are in deep trouble. The split finger delivery, Bopara is deceived by the pace, checks his shot and lobs a dolly back to the bowler. Bopara c and b Elliott 14(17) [4s-1]

17.2 - Elliott to Tanvir, out Caught by Mohammad Nawaz!! Third wicket for Elliott. Sir Viv Richards is a happy man in the dugout, gives high fives to the team staff. 15.1 - Elliott to Shakib, out Caught by Aizaz Cheema!! What is it with these slow bowlers? Keep chipping away at the wickets. Yesterday Bopara and today Elliott. Comes round the wicket, offers the bait outside off, Shakib lofts inside out straight to sweeper cover. Cheema held on even though he was on the move. There was no pace to work with for Shakib. Shakib c Aizaz Cheema b Elliott 10(19)

12.5 - Nabi to Shoaib Malik, out Caught by Ahmed Shehzad!! Once again Malik has thrown away a start. Nabi provides the crucial breakthrough for Quetta. Shoaib Malik c Ahmed Shehzad b Nabi 45(38) [4s-3 6s-2]

9.2 - Elliott to James Vince, out Bowled!! The dibbly-dobbly has worked. Wicket-to-wicket stuff from Elliott. No pace as well, Vince makes room, stoops low and swipes across the line, misses and the ball crashes into middle stump. Vince is livid with himself as he swings his bat over the stumps in disappointment. James Vince b Elliott 23(17) [4s-1 6s-1]

2.4 - Anwar Ali to Nauman Anwar, out Bowled!! Cleaned up. A nothing shot from Anwar. Yet another failure for him. It was full and straight, Anwar played all round it and is castled. He wanted to whip it across the line, the ball sneaks through bat and pad, crashed into middle stump. Nauman Anwar b Anwar Ali 6(9) [4s-1]

15.4 - Sohail Khan to Sarfraz, FOUR, unlucky. The inswinging yorker, the toe-crusher as they call it, Sarfraz does well to bring his bat down, jams it off the inside edge to the fine leg fence

14.2 - Shakib to Elliott, FOUR, deftly done. Flighted on off and middle, Elliott moves across, kneels down and paddles it so fine, that it goes through Rahim's legs and into the fence

6.4 - Usama Mir to Ahmed Shehzad, FOUR, Shehzad is dealing in boundaries. He is doing it with ease. Quicker and around off, Shehzad almost played it off Rahim's gloves, cut it late and sent it fine. Reached the fence in a jiffy

6.0 - Shakib to Ahmed Shehzad, FOUR, third four and Shakib's horror run in the tournament continues. Pushed through on middle and leg, Shehzad stays low and sweeps it behind square, nobody moved

5.2 - Shakib to Ahmed Shehzad, FOUR, consecutive boundaries. It was a trifle short and on off, Shehzad stoops low, allows himself to get under that, pulls/sweep overs backward square leg

5.1 - Shakib to Ahmed Shehzad, FOUR, fantastic shot! Hits it against the turn. Shimmies down the track, Shakib keeps flat and outside off, Shehzad manages to reach it and heaves it in front of square, qwide of deep mid-wicket

3.3 - Shakib to Ahmed Shehzad, FOUR, classy! Allows the drifter to come to him, Shehzad hangs on the back foot and cuts it late, splits backward point and short third man to perfection

2.3 - Sohail Khan to Ahmed Shehzad, FOUR, a real hit-me delivery from Sohail Khan. The slower delivery halfway down the wicket, Shehzad stays on leg-stump and slaps it in front of square, rocketed away to the fence

2.0 - Tanvir to L Wright, FOUR, Wright had enough sighters, takes couple of steps down, gets underneath it and lofts it over mid-off, not timed well but enough to get him a boundary

0.3 - Sohail Khan to Ahmed Shehzad, FOUR, fabulous shot! Nothing much wrong with the delivery, back of a length around off, Shehzad opens the bat face and creams it square on the off-side, pierced the packed field

10.1 - Usama Mir to Pietersen, SIX, superb shot! Tossed up generously around off, Pietersen plonks his front foot forward and hammers it over the long-on fence, the fielder was a mere spectator

8.0 - Imad Wasim to Pietersen, SIX, that's out of here. Another ball lost in Sharjah. Brings out the dancing shoes, gets to the pitch of the flighted delivery and lofts it handsomely over the long-off fence

17.0 - Shakib to Mohammad Nawaz, out Mohammad Nawaz Run Out!! Needless. There was never a run and Nawaz was not even in the frame. Taps the tossed up delivery in front of cover and sets off, Sarfraz responds, but throw from Vince was at the bowler's end, bulls-eye and Nawaz couldn't get there even with a dive. Mohammad Nawaz run out (James Vince) 6(7)

14.3 - Shakib to Elliott, out Lbw!! Something to cheer about for Shakib. He looks like a relieved man. Tossed up on leg-stump and turns enough to beat the outside edge of Elliott's bat. He is struck on the back thigh after missing a nudge through to the on-side. It was plumb in front. Elliott lbw b Shakib 5(5) [4s-1]

12.5 - Usama Mir to Pietersen, out Caught by Tanvir!! That's a terrific catch. Is it too late though? Pietersen moves around in the crease, Usama is not put off by that, tosses it up on off, KP goes forr the expansive drive, the ball flies off the outside edge to the right of the slip fielder, Tanvir dives and plucks it with both hands. Pietersen c Tanvir b Usama Mir 26(22) [6s-2]

8.1 - Usama Mir to Ahmed Shehzad, out Bowled!! Against the run of play Quetta have lost a wicket. The set batsman has been sent back. Is this the opening Karachi were looking for? Shehzad moves way across his stumps, Usama fired it on leg-stump and hit timber. Shehzad can't believe he has been castled, but eventually walks back. Ahmed Shehzad b Usama Mir 41(27) [4s-7]

4.1 - Imad Wasim to L Wright, out Caught by Mir Hamza!! Karachi get their first wicket. A soft dismissal for Wright. He was very early in dancing down the pitch, Wasim saw that and fired it outside off, Wright had to play it else he would have been stumped, toe-ends the cut towards point, Hamza moves to his right and takes it. L Wright c Mir Hamza b Imad Wasim 11(12) [4s-1]
