Due to some technical problems, we are unable to cover live matches on our site and app. We are working on it and will be back soon. Please stay tuned for more.

66.4 - Philander to U Yadav, FOUR, that's a slog from Umesh, but he got enough bat and cleared mid-wicket with ease, on a good length and in that channel outside off, Yadav spotted it early and mows it across the line, cleas the infield and brings up India's 200

64.4 - Philander to Ravindra Jadeja, FOUR, lovely shot, Philander misses his length and swings this one onto Jadeja's pads, he picks up the length early and flicks it superbly over mid-wicket, races away to the fence in a hurry

51.1 - Rabada to Ravindra Jadeja, FOUR, easy ball and put away. In fact Jadeja didn't try to hit it too hard, just guided that ball in the gap at cover-point and the timing was good enough. Short and outside off stump, Jadeja places it to perfection and gets four more

49.0 - Harmer to Mishra, FOUR, flighted delivery on the leg stump, Mishra plays a cheeky little paddle-scoop to the fine leg boundary. Handy runs these for India

48.1 - Harmer to Ravindra Jadeja, FOUR, good effort from Rabada but not good enough to prevent the boundary. Flatter and shorter just outside off stump, Jadeja goes back and cuts well, beats the man at point, Rabada gives chase, dives, flicks the ball back, it was not powerful enough and it rolled back to touch the rope

46.2 - Harmer to Vijay, FOUR, if the ball is spinning, then you've got to use the feet to negate some turn. That's exactly what Vijay has done now. Flighted delivery outside off stump, Vijay advances and lofts the drive inside-out over cover for a handsome boundary

45.2 - Tahir to Vijay, FOUR, edged but safe. Flatter in trajectory, Vijay looks to defend with an angled bat, the ball takes the edge and beats Amla's dive to his right at slip

42.5 - Harmer to Ravindra Jadeja, FOUR, this time he cuts, the length was slightly shorter than the third ball and there was more width as well, Jadeja rocks back and places it in the gap to the left of the man at backward point

40.5 - Harmer to Vijay, FOUR, this is good aggressive cricket from Vijay, comes down the track, gets to the pitch of the ball, made room as he did so, takes the ball on the full and goes inside out over extra cover, a couple of bounces and over the ropes

39.5 - Elgar to Vijay, FOUR, lovely shot, low full toss from Elgar, on Vijay's pads, he gets forward and whips it wide of mid-wicket, the man at deep square leg can't gets across and it's another boundary

39.3 - Elgar to Vijay, FOUR, fifty for Vijay, that's a nice way to get going as well. This was pushed through flatter and wider outside off, Vijay waits on it, uses the pace on the ball and cuts it very late, beats slip and races away to the fence, 12th Test fifty for Vijay

34.3 - Harmer to Rahane, FOUR, poor ball from Harmer, drops one short and well outside off, Rahane makes room and cracks it in front of square on the off-side, beats cover and races away to the fence

28.1 - Steyn to Vijay, FOUR, that's a nice way to get going, overpitched and well outside off, Vijay leans into the shot, drives it on the up and hits it in the gap past cover, no need to run for those

28.0 - Philander to Rahane, FOUR, lovely shot, but that's a shocker from Tahir at mid-on. This was pitched up and held its line on middle, Rahane goes forward, presents the full face of the bat and punches it to the left of mid-on. Tahir gets across, puts in the slide and allows the ball to go past him. Philander looks frustrated as the ball races away to the fence

26.5 - Rabada to Vijay, FOUR, fabulous shot. Perhaps the shot of the day so far. Nothing wrong with that delivery, good length outside off, Vijay leant into the cover drive, on the rise and timed it superbly to get four through the vacant cover region. Didn't try to hit it too hard, relied on timing and the outfield did the rest

25.2 - Harmer to Vijay, FOUR, swept past the diving Elgar at backward square leg for four. It was tossed up outside off, Vijay controlled the shot and got it along the ground. Elgar went and dived but the ball's pace was too quick for him

23.0 - Rabada to Rahane, byes, FOUR, can't do much when the ball bounces in front of you like that. Left alone outside off, the ball dies on Vilas and runs away off his legs, he tried to get the body behind that but concedes four byes

19.1 - Rabada to Pujara, FOUR, can't bowl there on the pads. Angling down on middle and leg, Pujara with a neat roll of the wrists clips that wide of the square leg umpire. Raced away to the fence

17.0 - Harmer to Pujara, FOUR, third shortish ball in a row and this time there was width for Pujara. Short outside off, Pujara rocked back in a flash and cut that through cover, had to beat the fielder and did so with ease

13.3 - Rabada to Pujara, FOUR, in total control there, was Pujara. On a short of length outside off, Pujara stayed besides the line of the ball and then steers it wide of backward point. Bisected both gully and backward point. Raced away

12.4 - Harmer to Vijay, FOUR, deliberately done and a boundary to Vijay. Down the wicket and then a chip over mid-wicket, Faf has a long way to cover from mid-on, runs across to prevent it and then dives, but can't prevent the four

11.2 - Philander to Vijay, FOUR, bowled with a different action by Philander, but on the pads, Vijay is good there, clips it off the pads and wide of mid-wicket. The ball raced away. Always in control of the stroke was Vijay there

8.3 - Steyn to Vijay, FOUR, nothing streaky about that. It wasn't a bad delivery at all, on a good length and outside off, Vijay timed the drive on the rise from the crease. Didn't get forward, didn't need to for the timing was good enough to carry the ball into the fence

5.3 - Philander to Pujara, FOUR, Pujara has nutmegged Rabada at square leg! First short ball attempted by Philander in the match, short outside off, Pujara rolled his wrists on the pull, it was a regulation stop for Rabada, but after moving to his left, he lets it go awkwardly through his legs. Should've been stopped, a bonus boundary for Pujara

4.4 - Steyn to Pujara, FOUR, beautiful shot. That's where Pujara is so strong. Overpitched on middle stump, Pujara gets forward and times the flick through mid-wicket. No need to run for those as the outfield is very quick. Steyn erred slightly there and Pujara was good enough to pick him away

3.0 - Steyn to Vijay, FOUR, now a flashy stroke from Vijay but he gets away. Threw his bat at a wide length delivery outside off, lucky that the edge went to the right of the diving gully. Not sure whether the fielder got a hand on that. Need a replay to confirm, but definitely it went at a catchable height. The fielder was going with one hand and yes replays show that gully palmed it over. The ball was too quick for the fielder. Either those stick or they don't. Steyn has a wry smile as the ball runs away to the fence

2.0 - Philander to Pujara, FOUR, first runs of the series and it is a boundary. Overpitched outside off by Philander, Pujara didn't drive it off the middle of the bat, the bat face closed and it skewed away through mid-off, but good enough to beat the chasing Rabada. The outfield is quick and that helped Pujara

68.0 - Tahir to Aaron, out Bowled!! India have been bundled out for 201! Another wrong 'un and Aaron didn't have an idea. This was tossed up just outside off and spun back in, Aaron was lunging forward in defence, leaves a big gap between bat and pad, the ball sneaks through and hits the off and middle stump. Having won the toss, India have been dismissed for a below par score. Aaron b Tahir 0(3)

67.3 - Tahir to U Yadav, out Bowled!! Tahir has struck! This was the wrong 'un, pitched outside off and spun back in sharply. Umesh lunged forward in defence, leaves a huge gap between bat and pad, the ball sneaks through and rattles the off and middle stump. Ashwin looks forlorn as India lose their ninth wicket. U Yadav b Tahir 5(7) [4s-1]

66.2 - Philander to Ravindra Jadeja, out Lbw!! Philander has his man! Jadeja was struggling to pick up Philander's reverse swing, was getting hit on the pads far too often. This one was pitched around leg and nipped back in, Jadeja was once again caught in his crease, ends up playing right across the line, misses and is struck bang in front of the stumps. That was going on and hitting the leg stump. Simple call for umpire Kettleborough, a handy partnership has been broken. Ravindra Jadeja lbw b Philander 38(92) [4s-4]

50.5 - Elgar to Mishra, out Caught by Steyn!! For the third time today, Elgar has taken a wicket in his comeback over. Wicket number four for Elgar. Sent ahead of Ashwin, Mishra tries to attack the left-arm spinner, comes down the track and looks to muscle it over the long-on boundary, but gets too close to the pitch of the ball and toe-ends it. Mid-on, who was stationed slightly deep than normal, moves back to take a simple catch. That fielder there was placed to tempt Mishy to go for the big shot and he fell in the trap. Mishra c Steyn b Elgar 6(8) [4s-1]

46.4 - Harmer to Vijay, out Lbw!! Did that pitch in line? Umpire Richard Kettleborough thought about it and then raised his finger. The replay confirms that it was a good call from the umpire. Flighted delivery on the stumps, Vijay gets down on one knee and looks to sweep, but misses and gets hit in line with middle stump. Impact or height wasn't an issue. The question was where the ball pitched and it landed right in line with the leg stump. India have lost their best batsman on show today. End of a fine knock from the opener. Vijay lbw b Harmer 75(136) [4s-12]

39.1 - Elgar to W Saha, out Caught by Amla!! Elgar is on a hat-trick! First ball dismissal for Saha. This was tossed up and spun away slightly, Saha was pushing forward, went with hard hands, the outside edge is found and it's a simple catch to Amla at first slip, he bends forward and accepts the offering. Third wicket for Elgar, India have lost half their side now. W Saha c Amla b Elgar 0(1)

38.0 - Elgar to Rahane, out Caught by Amla!! Elgar has two now! He once again strikes in his first over. This was tossed up nicely outside off, drew Rahane into the drive, turned across the right-hander. Rahane was committed into the shot, the ball finds the outside edge and it's safely lapped up by Amla at first slip. Rahane looked promising but he's gone now, Elgar is having a ball in the middle. India have now lost their last recognised batting pair as well. Rahane c Amla b Elgar 15(48) [4s-2]

22.2 - Rabada to Kohli, out Caught by Elgar!! Now Kohli goes. He has his head down in disappointment. Takes a few seconds to leave the field. Maiden Test wicket for Rabada and not a bad one at that. Pitched up outside off, Kohli was early into the flick, the leading edge went low and forward to cover where Elgar took a low catch. Did well to come in and then get the fingers under the ball. Definitely carried. No problems with that. Loose from Kohli and he fails on his birthday. Did the ball stop a tad on Kohli as he attempted the stroke? May have done a bit. Kohli c Elgar b Rabada 1(4)

21.4 - Elgar to Pujara, out Lbw!! The golden arm strikes. That is plumb if there was no inside edge onto the pad. Pujara's reaction on being given out is one of shock and amazement. Need to see a replay to check whether Pujara got some bat on that. Dharmasena gave it out pretty quickly. On seeing the replay, there doesn't seem to be any inside edge. Pujara missed the line of the ball, it was heading towards middle, Pujara played outside the line and the ball crashed into the pad in front of middle. Pujara was struck well below the kneeroll as well. No issues with height either. The move to bring on Elgar ahead of Tahir has worked wonders. Elgar celebrated that wicket by thumping his chest and then roared. Probably Pujara's reaction was more of disappointment at missing the ball rather than anything else. Pujara lbw b Elgar 31(66) [4s-6]

1.4 - Philander to Dhawan, out Caught by Amla!! Philander strikes. Very poor shot from Dhawan though. It is just the fourth ball he is facing and he has slashed one straight to slip. The width was there outside off, short and wide, but early on in a Test, an opener should be cautious and careful, Dhawan isn't in that mood. Sees the run-scoring opportunity on offer and goes after that, a thick edge and caught at first slip. Amla hangs on. And that is a dream start for South Africa. Philander after being disappointed last delivery, now punches the air and roars in delight. Dhawan c Amla b Philander 0(4)

58.4 - Steyn to Ravindra Jadeja, no run, nearly a run-out, on a good length and on off, Jadeja blocks it in front of mid-off. He then started to saunter across for a quick single, Ashwin was ball watching, Jadeja has to rush back to his crease

66.4 - Mishra to Tahir, FOUR, he's not going to hang around. Googly alright, but Tahir picked it and slogged it nicely over mid-wicket for four. Four crucial runs to South Africa

63.5 - Aaron to Steyn, FOUR, handy start for Steyn, on a good length and well outside off, Steyn was looking to play a stylish off-drive, ends up getting a thick outside edge and the ball races away past gully for a boundary

58.2 - Ravindra Jadeja to de Villiers, FOUR, fifty for AB, he looked shaky at the start, but looks to be in the zone right now. This was flighted outside off, he goes down on his knees and sweeps it over mid-wicket, no one's in the deep and that's another boundary

56.3 - Ravindra Jadeja to de Villiers, FOUR, lovely shot, flighted delivery and on the stumps, AB gets down on his knees, rolls his wrists and sweeps it powerfully past square leg, beats the man getting across from deep backward square leg

55.0 - Ravindra Jadeja to de Villiers, FOUR, cracking shot, Jadeja gave this one more air, AB gets a good stride forward and goes inside out over cover-point, a couple of bounces and over the ropes

47.5 - Ashwin to de Villiers, FOUR, now since a fielder has been placed for the reverse sweep, a gap opens up at point. Ashwin bowls a fraction short outside off, de Villiers latches on, rocks back and cuts through point. Transferred his weight in an instant and put it away. This is great counter-attacking batting

47.4 - Ashwin to de Villiers, FOUR, cheeky and very effective from de Villiers. He will now show his full range of his strokes. It was very full on the stumps as Ashwin went round the wicket, de Villiers just changed his stance and reverse swept that through the backward point region. No fielder at third man and de Villiers knew that. Played the percentages well there

43.5 - Ashwin to de Villiers, byes, FOUR, down leg, first real pressure-releasing delivery, Saha can't get across and it runs away for four byes. That is four more precious runs added to the total

42.2 - Ravindra Jadeja to Amla, FOUR, streaky but Amla will take it. Saw the width on that tossed up delivery outside off, drove away from the body, a thick outside edge rolls wide of backward point and races away to the fence

39.0 - Ravindra Jadeja to de Villiers, FOUR, superb shot. It was a trifle short outside off, de Villiers arched back and dabbed that wide of backward point. Played expertly and beat the chasing fielder, the fielder slid and tried to pull it back but in vain

36.5 - Ravindra Jadeja to Amla, FOUR, magnificent cover drive by Amla. He is such a treat to watch when he drives. On the rise and past short cover, gave mid-off no chance. The ball dropped on him but he ensured that he got low and then drove it with class and timing

35.0 - Ashwin to Amla, FOUR, even though it was an outside edge, Amla ensured that he rolled his wrists on the drive, so that it goes down, saw the tossed up delivery outside off, wanted to play his trademark cover drive, lunged out and drove, the thick edge rolled wide of slip and into the third man fence. A boundary to end the opening hour. Ashwin is disappointed

32.2 - Ashwin to Amla, FOUR, Amla takes on Ashwin and gets four. Saw the tossed up delivery and used his feet to flick over mid-wicket, didn't hit it as well as he would've liked to, but since there is no deep fielder, it was four once it cleared the infield

30.1 - Ashwin to Elgar, FOUR, short and wide from Ashwin, a rare bad ball by the offie, Elgar rocks back and cuts through cover-point. Easy boundary for Elgar who is beginning to get more and more confident with each passing minute

29.1 - Aaron to Elgar, leg byes, FOUR, poor from Aaron. Slants one into the pads from round the wicket, Elgar didn't get bat on the flick, but the deflection from the thigh pad was enough to beat the diving Saha. These are runs that are being gifted away and precious runs at that

23.3 - U Yadav to Amla, FOUR, that is very poor. From Umesh. Short and wide outside off, with no protection square of the wicket, Amla had to get bat on the cut and did so. Getting a four through point

20.4 - Mishra to Elgar, FOUR, positive blow. Was a bit pre-meditated, but on seeing the flight and length on the stumps, Elgar decided to go for the slog sweep, got good connection and a boundary to deep mid-wicket, one bounce over the ropes

9.3 - Mishra to Amla, FOUR, Ashwin should have dived, but probably with the injury scare that he's carrying, he didn't want to risk. Flighted delivery outside off stump, Amla drives off the front foot, sends it to the left of mid-off and gets a boundary. That should ease some nerves

3.1 - U Yadav to van Zyl, FOUR, get your lines right Umesh Yadav, you don't have enough runs in the bank to play with. He goes round the wicket and angles one in on leg stump line, van Zyl tickles fine and sends it to the fine leg boundary

68.0 - Ashwin to Tahir, out Caught by Pujara!! Appeal again from the Indians, umpire Kumar Dharmasena takes a long look and then raises the finger. It's a five wicket-haul for Ashwin, his 13th in Tests. South Africa are all out for 184 and India have taken a slender 17-run lead. Almost a repeat of the previous ball, but just that this one took the inside edge before lobbing to short leg off the thigh pad. This one bounced a bit extra as well and was too good for Tahir, who was looking to block. Also, this is Ashwin's 150th Test wicket. Tahir c Pujara b Ashwin 4(7) [4s-1]

66.3 - Mishra to de Villiers, out Bowled!! Wow! That is a dream delivery for a leggie and Mishra has knocked over a set AB de Villiers. He is thrilled and pumps his fist, before his team-mates join the celebration. Flighted delivery pitching around middle and off, the ball pitched in the rough and turned, to be fair it actually did not turn big, but turned enough to beat de Villiers, who was trying to defend. The ball hit the off stump. End of a sensational innings from a top batsman. de Villiers b Mishra 63(83) [4s-6]

65.5 - Ravindra Jadeja to Steyn, out Stumped!! This was on the cards. Good stumping by Saha! An angry Steyn bangs his bat onto his pad as he walks back. AB de Villiers isn't impressed at the non-striker's end with Steyn's shot. This was dragged a little short by Jadeja as Steyn came down the track, Steyn swung and missed, the ball kept low and went past the leg stump, but Saha did well to stay low and effect a quick stumping. Umpire Kumar Dharmasena didn't want to send it upstairs and raised the finger in a flash. Steyn st W Saha b Ravindra Jadeja 6(14) [4s-1]

62.4 - Mishra to Harmer, out Lbw!! Mishra gets his man! This was the perfect leg-break to the right-hander. It pitched just around leg, spun across a long way. Harmer was way back in defence, should have been forward to that length, the ball spun across the face of the bat and hits his back leg, bang in front of off. Was it going on to miss the stumps? Umpire Dharmasena took a long while before raising the dreaded finger. Mishra has his first wicket and South Africa slip further. Harmer lbw b Mishra 7(25)

54.3 - Ravindra Jadeja to Philander, out Caught by Rahane!! Jadeja strikes after lunch! This was pushed through quicker and comes back with the angle, Philander was lunging forward on the defensive push, gets an outside edge as the ball spun away slightly. The ball lobs in front of Rahane at first slip. It was dying on him, but he bends forward and takes a well judged catch, inches over the turf. The replays were crystal clear, Philander has to go, AB is being left stranded at the other end. Philander c Rahane b Ravindra Jadeja 3(27)

46.0 - Ashwin to Dane Vilas, out Caught by Ravindra Jadeja!! Dreadful batting! A sweep attempted out of the rough and the top edge goes straight up in the air. Jadeja is one of India's best fielders and circles to his right to grab that at backward square leg. It wasn't an easy catch but Jadeja ran and made it look simple. Took it without any trouble at all. It was flighted outside off, turned after pitching, Dane Vilas probably pre-meditated the sweep and since it turned out of the rough, took the top edge and went straight up. Dane Vilas has lasted just three balls. Second wicket in the over for Ashwin and India are humming right now. Each ball is an event. Dane Vilas c Ravindra Jadeja b Ashwin 1(3)

45.2 - Ashwin to Amla, out Stumped!! That's it! Gone now. Lucky dismissal it must be said though. Amla used his feet to the turning delivery and was beaten in the flight, the ball dipped on him, turned in past the body and the bat, Saha was beaten by the extra bounce, the ball thudded into his chest and fell on the bail. Amla was trying to get back but unluckily for him the ball fell on the bail. Saha's gloves weren't in position as the ball bounced over the stumps. Lovely delivery from Ashwin, bowled at the right pace to defeat the onrushing Amla, went through the bat and pad gap. Spun viciously after pitching. The Indians are pumped and rightly so. Amla st W Saha b Ashwin 43(97) [4s-6]

37.4 - Ashwin to Elgar, out Caught by Ravindra Jadeja!! Ashwin gets Elgar out. Ashwin wags his finger and says something to the departing Elgar. Elgar doesn't even look at Ashwin though. Bad shot to play when the ball is turning. Wrong choice too. It was on the stumps, Elgar went for the big slog sweep and got a top edge straight up in the air, Jadeja at backward point settles under that dolly. The move to bring Ashwin from this end has worked. But end of a gritty and pugnacious knock from Elgar who has battled hard for his runs. Elgar c Ravindra Jadeja b Ashwin 37(123) [4s-2]

8.2 - Ravindra Jadeja to du Plessis, out Bowled!! This is a massive, massive blow for South Africa. Ravindra Jadeja has been in top form in domestic cricket. He picked up 37 wickets in 3 games and here he is getting the big fish with the second ball of his spell. Another error in judgement from a South African batsman. This was the arm-ball from Jadeja, Faf thought it was the conventional offie and left it alone, but it came in with the angle, he wasn't covering the line and the off pole was disturbed. Jadeja is pumped as he runs across the ground and his team-mates mob him. du Plessis b Ravindra Jadeja 0(4)

6.4 - Ashwin to van Zyl, out Lbw!! Misjudgement from van Zyl and that has cost him his wicket. Easy decision for umpire Kumar Dharmasena. Another slider from Ashwin, van Zyl thought it would spin away after pitching just outside off stump, just shoulders arms to it, but it came in with the angle from round the wicket and hit the back pad right in front of off stump. As soon as he saw the ball hit the pad, Ashwin was very confident. So India have got the early wicket they wanted. van Zyl lbw b Ashwin 5(23) [4s-1]

63.0 - Mishra to Steyn, no run, that will go down as a chance, it wasn't an easy chance though, looked like Mishra wasn't expecting it either. This was flighted and just outside off, drilled hard and back towards the bowler. The ball popped in and out, looks of anguish on the faces of the close-in fielders

22.3 - Mishra to Elgar, no run, outside edge and it hits Saha's pads before going down. Can't call that a dropped chance. It was very tough, Elgar went back to defend, got the edge and the ball hit Saha's pads. Saha's gloves were just wide of the ball that time. Mishra is disappointed

73.4 - Tahir to W Saha, FOUR, nicely played by Saha, this was tossed up on off, Saha gets down low, gets on top of the bounce and sweeps it past square leg, bisects the two men in the deep for a boundary

72.1 - Harmer to W Saha, FOUR, that's a positive blow from Saha, mid-off was inside the ring, he shimmies down the track, gets to the pitch of the ball and lifts it back over Harmer's head, races away to the fence

64.2 - Harmer to Ravindra Jadeja, FOUR, lovely shot! Saw Harmer pitching it up and got forward to drill that wide of mid-on. All along the ground. Got to the pitch and smoked it

61.0 - Harmer to W Saha, FOUR, he wanted to do that all over and now gets four. Down the track and to the pitch before lofting over mid-on, one bounce over the ropes. Clean strike and a pressure-releasing boundary

48.3 - Harmer to Kohli, FOUR, again Kohli using the depth of his crease to get a four. Went right back and then nudged the spinning delivery wide of backward square leg, beat the man inside the ring and raced away. Didn't look four when Kohli hit that, but he had timed it so well and more importantly placed it well

48.0 - Rabada to Kohli, FOUR, back-to-back fours for Kohli. This one is classy. He converted a perfectly good delivery into a boundary ball. Shuffled across and then timed the clip from off and middle to beat Tahir at mid-wicket. It was a good length delivery with a hint of nip back in, but Kohli made that look ordinary. Rabada wears a disappointed expression on his face

47.5 - Rabada to Kohli, FOUR, trademark back foot punch by Kohli. Stands tall and then punches the back of a length delivery outside off through cover. Once he hit the gap it was four

43.1 - Rabada to Pujara, byes, FOUR, down leg and Vilas' dive wasn't good enough, it kept on going further away from him and that's four more to the Indian total. Rabada probably tried the inswinger and got it wrong

38.1 - Rabada to Kohli, FOUR, Rabada tries the short ball but the line was leg stumpish, the shuffling Kohli was able to get inside the line and pull it fine to the fine leg boundary. He rolled his wrists to keep the ball along the ground

37.5 - Elgar to Pujara, FOUR, way too short and on the stumps this time, Pujara waits and pulls it to the right of mid-wicket and there was no one in the deep

37.2 - Elgar to Pujara, FOUR, gets to his fifty in style. Excellent knock under pressure from the No. 3 batsman. Pujara advances, takes the flighted delivery on the full, flicks it wide of mid-on, Rabada dives but doesn't stop the ball. Pujara raises his bat to the crowd and the dressing room. Punches gloves with the Indian captain and he gets a hug in appreciation as well

31.3 - Tahir to Pujara, FOUR, top edge but it goes very fine. Flighted delivery on the leg stump, Pujara tries to sweep, gets the edge and there was no one at fine leg to stop the ball

31.0 - Rabada to Vijay, byes, FOUR, oh no, that's defeated the keeper, but it won't go against Rabada. So this is his fourth successive maiden over then. Full and swinging down the leg-side, Vijay fails to tickle it, Vilas dives full length to his left but couldn't get a hand on it

27.3 - Elgar to Pujara, FOUR, way too short, Pujara rocks back and pulls over mid-wicket, he got under it nicely but hit it high in the air, the ball bounces just inside the rope and goes for four

22.4 - Harmer to Vijay, FOUR, cracking shot, Vijay comes down the track, makes room as he did so, plays against the spin and lofts it over mid-off for a boundary

20.1 - Harmer to Pujara, FOUR, lovely shot, Pujara comes down the track, makes room as he did so, gets to the pitch of the ball and drills it past the non-striker, no chance for the fielder at mid-off

12.1 - Harmer to Vijay, FOUR, lovely shot, Vijay shimmies down the track, gets to the pitch of the ball, plays it with the spin and drives it past the non-striker, beats Philander gettting across to his left from long-on

12.0 - Elgar to Pujara, FOUR, that's easy pickings for Pujara, full toss from Elgar, Pujara comes down the track and heaves it over mid-wicket, one bounce and over the ropes. The lead goes beyond 50 as well

10.1 - Harmer to Vijay, FOUR, nicely played by Vijay, gets down low, uses Harmer's pace, paddles it very fine and the ball races away to the fence

7.5 - Elgar to Vijay, FOUR, that's a good start from Vijay, this was tossed up and just outside off, Vijay was looking to drive it past cover, gets a thick outside edge and behind square. Philander gives chase, attempts to stop the ball with his boot, he manages to kick it back, but the other leg helps it onto the ropes. He lost balance as well and was left hanging on the electronic board - beyond the ropes

0.3 - Philander to Vijay, FOUR, another boundary. Short of length and just outside off stump, Vijay looks to defend, but the ball doesn't bounce much, takes the toe-end of the bat and runs away past the man at gully again

0.1 - Philander to Vijay, FOUR, runs straightaway for India and four of them. Gentle short of length delivery just outside off stump, Vijay looks to defend with an angled bat, gets a thick outside edge but he played with soft hands. The ball escaped to the left of gully, Bavuma gives chase and dives but it was too late. He crashed into the advertising boards beyond the rope and thankfully he is okay

39.5 - Tahir to Pujara, SIX, in the air and that's the first six of the match. In fact, this is just his 4th six in his Test career. Captain Kohli loved it, he punches the gloves with his partner with a big smile on his face. The googly goes way too short, Pujara rocks back and pulls it high over the mid-wicket boundary

75.3 - Tahir to W Saha, out Caught by Dane Vilas!! Saha feathers an edge and India have been bowled out for 200. This was tossed up on off and spun away slightly, Saha was pressing forward on the defensive push, decides to let it go at the last moment. He can't get the glove out of the way, the ball clips it and settles in Vilas' mitts. W Saha c Dane Vilas b Tahir 20(58) [4s-3]

70.2 - Harmer to U Yadav, out Bowled!! That's very poor from Umesh, he's let his partner down. This was tossed up on off and spun back in slightly, Umesh was looking to mow it over mid-wicket, misses it, the ball hit his body, goes onto his elbow (left) and went back to disturb the leg-stump. Fourth wicket for Harmer and India have lost their ninth wicket, the lead is just 205. U Yadav b Harmer 1(4)

69.1 - Tahir to Ashwin, out Caught by Amla!! Now Ashwin goes. South Africa keep taking wickets. Perfect leggie, pitches on off, brings Ashwin forward to defend, turns away slightly, takes the shoulder of the bat and lands in Amla's hands at first slip. Tahir has a big smile on his face after taking that wicket. With that wicket the players take lunch as well. They could've finished the over and then gone for the break, but the umpires decide that it is enough for the session. What a turnaround this has been in the last hour. Exactly similar to what we witnessed yesterday morning. First hour - passing without an incident. Second hour - frenetic and action-packed where every ball was a potential missile for the batsmen. This game is superbly poised at the moment. Ashwin c Amla b Tahir 3(9)

66.4 - Harmer to Mishra, out Caught by du Plessis!! What was Mishra doing there? As Sunny Gavaskar says, it looks a disinterested shot. Tossed up delivery on the stumps, he lazily sweeps straight to the fielder at backward square leg. Didn't roll his wrists on the shot and failed to keep it down too. From the moment he came in, he has looked like he wanted to do something out of the ordinary with the bat. No intensity and he walks off. A wicket gifted away. Even South Africa are surprised as to how easily that wicket has been given to them. Don't celebrate loudly. Very poor from Mishra and that too from a senior player like him. Considering the match situation. Mishra c du Plessis b Harmer 2(5)

65.0 - Harmer to Ravindra Jadeja, out Lbw!! Was that too high? Dharmasena doesn't think so. He raises the finger. It was the skidder, Ravindra Jadeja didn't pick it at all, rushed off the surface and beat his flick, thudded into the thigh pad in front of middle and leg. Only height is the question here. Impact was in-line and would've gone onto hit the stumps. Harmer roars in delight and celebrates in the batsman's face. Once Hawk-Eye is in will confirm whether it was clipping or going over. South Africa's fightback continues. Ravindra Jadeja lbw b Harmer 8(24) [4s-1]

58.3 - Harmer to Rahane, out Caught by (sub)Bavuma!! Another catch for Bavuma. A one-handed grab. This is not as sensational as the one he took of Vijay but still a very good grab. Suddenly the ball is buzzing and the spinners are making it talk. Tossed up and on off, Rahane got the bat in front of the pad to defend, went straight off the face of the bat, Bavuma is standing back at short leg, stretches his left-hand and takes it. It wasn't travelling quickly so Bavuma could see it well into his hand. Rahane just looks at Dharmasena in disappointment before walking off. All of a sudden India have lost three quick wickets. Rahane c (sub)Bavuma b Harmer 2(9)

57.1 - Tahir to Pujara, out Caught by Amla!! There is Tahir's celebration. South Africa are fighting back. First ball from Tahir and he strikes. Good delivery and a neat catch at first slip. On off stump, it straightens, Pujara isn't forward, just tried to defend that by playing inside the line, the ball takes the outside edge and goes low to Amla who takes the catch near his bootlaces. Tahir then goes off on his trademark celebratory run. Where were you so long, Tahir? Maybe one should ask Amla that question. Pujara c Amla b Tahir 77(153) [4s-6 6s-1]

55.5 - van Zyl to Kohli, out Caught by Dane Vilas!! Kohli is gone. They are checking for the no-ball. It is fine - van Zyl's front foot that is. Kohli has to go. The part-timer strikes. Good catch by Vilas. He is standing up and that was a tiny nick, Kohli edging the drive and Vilas hung on, in his webbing. It was about to pop out but he cajoled the ball back into his gloves. Throws the ball away in delight. Out of nowhere South Africa have the breakthrough. van Zyl is so delighted that he is running around, high-fiving his team-mates. Kohli c Dane Vilas b van Zyl 29(71) [4s-4]

33.1 - Tahir to Vijay, out Caught by (sub)Bavuma!! Edgeddddd and that's a brilliant grab by the substitute at short leg. Excellent catch, the replay shows that he dived full length to his left and took it horizontal to the ground with one hand. Vijay slowly drags himself off the field. That ends a vital 86-run stand as well. Googly around off stump line, Vijay lunged forward to defend, the ball took the inside edge and popped off the pad, short leg did the rest. Bavuma is surrounded by his team-mates. South Africa badly needed this wicket. End of another excellent knock from the Indian opener. Vijay c (sub)Bavuma b Tahir 47(105) [4s-6]

2.3 - Philander to Dhawan, out Caught by de Villiers!! It's a pair for Dhawan. Philander has got him twice in this Test match and he gives the outgoing batsman a long stare. Poor cricket from Dhawan. Fullish and outside off stump, Dhawan plays a tentative drive, it was almost as it he decided late to play at it and got a thick edge, second slip stayed low and took an easy catch to his right. The ball didn't do too much, probably it just held its line after pitching and Dhawan had to pay the penalty for not moving his feet. Good start with the ball for South Africa. Dhawan c de Villiers b Philander 0(8)

19.0 - Harmer to Pujara, no run, was it a chance? This was pushed through by Harmer, flatter and going with the angle, Pujara was half-forward in defence, gets a thick outside edge. Vilas had little time to react, doesn't get his gloves across and the ball rolls away - after hitting the edge of his gloves, drops well in front of Amla, harsh to cal it as a dropped chance, but it's a chance nevertheless

59.4 - Tahir to Ravindra Jadeja, 1 run, what a man this fella is! Unbelievable pickup and throw on the turn by AB. Very unlucky that he missed the direct hit. Look at Amla's expression. He is speechless and flashes the widest grin possible after seeing AB field like that. It was flicked to the left of him at mid-wicket, he ran and then slid, before getting up on the turn and throwing. Just missed the direct hit, Ravindra Jadeja was taking it easy and would've been out. Amazing stuff!

39.2 - Ravindra Jadeja to Tahir, FOUR, Ravindra Jadeja fires it in once again, Tahir lofts the drive over mid-on for a boundary. Off the mark in style

35.0 - Ashwin to van Zyl, FOUR, that's easy pickings for van Zyl, full toss from Ashwin, whipped away past mid-wicket, brings up SA's 100 as well

34.3 - Ashwin to Harmer, FOUR, the reverse sweep from Harmer, gets the desired result this time around, gets enough bat and hits the gap - past Rahane at slip, races away to the fence for a boundary

33.4 - Mishra to van Zyl, FOUR, lovely shot, Mishra drops one short and well outside off, van Zyl rocks back and punches it to the right of mid-off, beats the fielder and races away to the fence

30.2 - Ashwin to Harmer, byes, FOUR, that missed everyone! This was tossed up on middle and spun away sharply, Harmer was looking to play the reverse sweep and missed, the ball whizzed past the leg-stump and beats Saha as well

24.5 - U Yadav to van Zyl, FOUR, much better from Umesh, but he's conceded a boundary, short of a good length and tailing away late, van Zyl hung his bat at that, gets a thick edge that goes through the gap between first slip and gully

24.4 - U Yadav to van Zyl, leg byes, FOUR, poor line from Umesh, short and on van Zyl's pads, he looks to flick and misses, the ball brushes the pads, Saha dives and gets a hand onto it - but the ball has enough to beat long leg to the fence

24.1 - U Yadav to van Zyl, byes, FOUR, that's a poor delivery from Umesh, short and way down the leg-side. Saha dives in vain and the ball races away to the fence for four byes

17.2 - Mishra to van Zyl, FOUR, oh no! A gift from Mishra. Full toss on the stumps, van Zyl swipes it across the line, went off the inside half of the bat but went wide of the man at backward square leg. Mishy tried to toss it up nicely, but lost control

14.1 - Ashwin to van Zyl, FOUR, poor ball and Ashwin is not happy with himself. Short and wide outside off stump, van Zyl rocks back and cuts well, sends it to the left of backward point, who had no chance

11.4 - Mishra to van Zyl, FOUR, good shot! Mishra tries the flatter one, bowls this way too short, van Zyl goes on the back foot and punches it nicely from the middle of the bat through cover-point. That should settle some nerves

6.5 - Ashwin to de Villiers, FOUR, lovely shot, AB was pressing forward, Ashwin drops it slightly short and well outside off, AB rocks back and cracks it square through cover for a boundary, majestic stuff

5.2 - Ravindra Jadeja to de Villiers, FOUR, cracking shot, a little shimmy from AB, gets to the pitch of the ball and drills it back past the non-striker for a boundary

0.4 - Ashwin to Elgar, FOUR, lovely shot, tossed up and spinning back into Elgar, he prods forward, plays it against the spin, closes the face of the bat and clips it through mid-wicket for a boundary

39.5 - Ravindra Jadeja to Tahir, out Lbw!! That's it! Ravindra Jadeja picks up his 3rd five-wicket haul in Tests, what a comeback Test he's had. India have bowled out South Africa inside 40 overs. This is a faster one fired into the blockhole, Tahir tries to defend, the ball hits the boot and he was hit right in front of middle. Tahir lbw b Ravindra Jadeja 4(5) [4s-1]

38.2 - Ashwin to Steyn, out Caught by Vijay!! He's not timed this. The ball goes straight up in the air and Vijay takes a well-judged catch. This was tossed up nicely by Ashwin, the ball disturbed the surface on pitching and bounced extra, Steyn went for a big slog and it went off the outside half of the bat, long-on moved forward and took the catch. India are just one wicket away now. Steyn c Vijay b Ashwin 2(9)

36.2 - Ashwin to van Zyl, out Caught by Rahane!! van Zyl falls and South Africa are all but down now. This is a lovely delivery from Ashwin, tossed on the middle stump line, it dips and turns across the left-hander, he was pushing forward in defence, gets a thick edge and it's a dolly for Rahane at first slip. India have their 8th wicket, the crowd are buzzing at Mohali and South Africa are staring down the barrel. van Zyl c Rahane b Ashwin 36(82) [4s-6]

35.1 - Ravindra Jadeja to Harmer, out Caught by Rahane!! Jadeja has broken a stubborn partnership. This was tossed up and came back with the angle, Harmer was looking to flick it towards the on-side, closed the face of the bat and gets a leading edge, it brushes the back pad and loops towards Rahane at first slip. The ball was dying on him, he bends forward, gets both hands and clasps it cleanly. The third umpire has a check and sends Harmer on his way. South Africa have lost their seventh wicket. Harmer c Rahane b Ravindra Jadeja 11(30) [4s-1]

24.0 - Ravindra Jadeja to Dane Vilas, out Bowled!! Jadeja strikes after tea! Another delivery that went straight on, this was pushed through on off, held its line and goes with the angle. Vilas watches it all along, at the last moment, he's confident enough to draw his bat back and lets it go. Mistake, the ball doesn't deviate one bit, it simply carried on and hits the off-stump. Vilas watches the wreckage in dismay and trods off. India are a wicket closer towards victory. Dane Vilas b Ravindra Jadeja 7(22)

16.4 - Aaron to Elgar, out Caught by Kohli!! Okay, this is why Kohli brought on Aaron. But I would have to say that this is a lucky wicket for the Indians. South Africa have lost half their side for just 45 runs on the board. Short delivery on middle stump, Elgar tries to flick on one leg, in fact was hopping a bit to meet the ball, it took the leading edge and went straight up in the air, mid-on didn't have to move an inch and he collected the dolly. Aaron is delighted and he is surrounded by his team-mates. Elgar hangs his head down in disappointment and walks away. Elgar c Kohli b Aaron 16(47) [4s-1]

9.5 - Mishra to de Villiers, out Bowled!! He bowled AB de Villiers in the first innings and he's bowled him again. This is a massive moment in the game and India would think that they have this in the bag now. What a change by Virat Kohli, brought the leg-spinner on and he strikes in his very first over. Misjudgement from de Villiers. As soon as he saw that the length was short, he rocked back for the cut shot thinking it would spin away from him. But the clever bowler that he is, this was the straighter one from Mishy and de Villiers then tried to adjust and defend hurriedly but the ball took the inside edge and crashed into the off stump. South Africa in deep trouble at 32/4. de Villiers b Mishra 16(18) [4s-2]

3.5 - Ravindra Jadeja to Amla, out Bowled!! What has Amla done! He has left a straight ball on the middle stump go, that's a shocker from the South African skipper. Another batsman falls expecting the ball to spin, this was pushed through by Jadeja, came back with the angle, Amla stayed leg-side, perhaps, he was expecting it to turn the other way. This one doesn't do so, it comes back with the angle and cannons into the middle of middle. 50th Test wicket for Jadeja. Amla b Ravindra Jadeja 0(6)

2.2 - Ashwin to du Plessis, out Caught by Rahane!! du Plessis falls to the straighter one once again! A double failure for him. This was pushed through on off and went with the angle, du Plessis was playing for the spin, doesn't cover the line, plays inside it and gets a healthy outside edge - straight into Rahane's lap at first slip. The Indians are cock-a-hoop, South Africa are once again 9/2. du Plessis c Rahane b Ashwin 1(6)

1.1 - Ravindra Jadeja to Philander, out Lbw!! And he strikes first ball! This was as plumb as it gets. Pushed through quicker and coming back with the angle, the arm-ball from RJ. Philander was caught in his crease as he pushed forward, the ball beats the inside edge and raps him on the pads, well below the knee-roll. The impact was in front of middle, the ball would have crashed into leg-stump. Simple call for umpire Kettleborough, Philander looks flabbergasted, but he has no complaints with this decision. The ploy to open with him has backfired. Philander lbw b Ravindra Jadeja 1(2)

25.0 - U Yadav to van Zyl, 1 run, edged and dropped, Dhawan is the culprit, he's one Indian who's had a horror match, this should hurt him further. This was pitched up in that channel outside off and held its line, van Zyl was once again rooted to the crease as he hung his bat out, the edge is found and goes low and to the right of first slip. Dhawan dives, gets a hand and can't hold on
