44.4 - Tahir to Topley, byes, FOUR, how did it miss the stumps? The googly from Tahir, Topley doesn't pick it as he looks to drive it away, the ball spins in, beats the inside edge, goes over the stumps and beats the keeper as well, runs away for four byes

42.1 - Tahir to Hales, FOUR, low full toss on the stumps, Hales sweeps it hard and places it to perfection, sends it through the square leg region and it crashes into the fence in no time

39.3 - C Morris to Hales, FOUR, The wait is over. Hales gets to his hundred! His second in ODIs. Takes his helmet off and raises his bat to acknowledge the crowd. Nothing too big about the celebrations there. Coming to the ball, this was full on the stumps, Hales punches it to the left of mid-on, who dives across but can't stop the ball, crashes into the fence in a jiffy

37.4 - C Morris to Hales, FOUR, full and right in the slot, Hales drives it back past the non-striker, de Villiers from mid-on runs across to his left, puts in the dive but he can only palm it away to the fence even further

36.4 - Wiese to Adil Rashid, FOUR, once again Wiese bowls a half-volley on the pads, Rashid fails to tickle it fine and the ball rolls away to the fine leg fence off the boot. The umpire thought that there was some bat involved and gives it as runs

36.1 - Wiese to Adil Rashid, FOUR, Wiese bowls it very full and on the pads, pays the price this time around. Rashid tickles it very fine and it crashes into the fence in no time

29.3 - Rabada to Hales, FOUR, short of length delivery just outside off, Hales waits for the ball to arrive and guides it late to the right of third man, who runs across and puts in the dive near the rope, got a hand to it but the ball still trickles away to the fence

28.3 - Tahir to Moeen Ali, FOUR, drags this short and Ali is off the mark with a boundary. He rocks back and cuts this widish delivery in the gap between backward point and cover-point, the fielder gives chase but the ball wins the race

25.4 - C Morris to Stokes, FOUR, smacked! Full and right in the slot, it was the slower ball and Stokes picks it quickly. Drills it back past the bowler and it crashed into the fence in no time. Hit it with a lot of power there

23.3 - C Morris to Hales, FOUR, half-volley outside off, Hales comes on the front foot and laces the drive to the left of a diving short cover, the man from sweeper too runs to his right, puts in the dive near the rope but the ball beats him to the fence

22.4 - Wiese to Hales, FOUR, short and width on offer, Hales doesn't miss out as he cracks it behind point on the off-side, third man runs across to his right but the ball beats him to the fence

22.0 - C Morris to Hales, leg byes, FOUR, bit too straight once again, Hales fails to tickle it fine and the ball runs away to the fine leg fence off the pads. Not the way Morris would have wanted to finish the over

19.1 - Tahir to Hales, FOUR, nicely done by Hales and that brings up the 100 for England! Short and well wide outside off, Hales rocks back and cuts it to the left of backward point, who dives across but fails to get a hand on it, races away to the fence in a jiffy

18.1 - Wiese to Hales, FOUR, Hales gets to his fifty with a streaky boundary. This is also his fifth consecutive half-century of the series. On a length and around off, Hales comes forward to push at it, ekes out a thick inside edge that goes past the leg stump, beats the keeper to his left and runs away to the fence. It was mighty close to the leg stump there

16.2 - Wiese to Hales, FOUR, this yorker length delivery shapes away late around off, Hales tries to squeeze it out, gets a thick outside edge that runs away past a diving slip and crashes into the third man fence

12.5 - Kyle Abbott to Root, FOUR, almost! Banged in short and at the batsman, Root was hurried for pace as he goes for the pull, the fat-tope edge flies down towards fine leg, Tahir runs in to try and take the catch, but the ball bounces in front of him. He couldn't get his body behind it and it hits the fence soon after

9.4 - C Morris to Hales, FOUR, pitched up outside off, Hales comes on the front foot and laces the drive to the left of cover-point, who dives across but fails to get a hand on it, crashes into the fence in a jiffy

9.3 - C Morris to Hales, FOUR, what happened there? Yorker length delivery aimed at the base of middle and leg, Hales looks to squeeze it out, just about manages to get some part of the inside edge on that and it rolls away fine past the keeper. Was mighty close to shaving the leg stump there. The South Africans in fact were thinking about a review, but the umpire tells de Villiers that his time is up

9.0 - Rabada to Root, FOUR, banged in short and down the leg-side, Root swivels on the pull, rolls his wrists over it and sends it along the ground to the left of the man at leg gully, fine leg was much squarer and it raced away to the fence in no time

6.2 - Rabada to Hales, FOUR, short of length delivery outside off, Hales punches it past a diving backward point, Rossouw from cover-point gives chase, tries to pull the ball back in before the rope, but he slipped while doing so and his boot was touching the rope when he had the ball in his hand. Given as a four after third umpire took a look

6.1 - Rabada to Hales, FOUR, poor ball first up. Too straight once again and Hales tickles it fine off his pads, runs away to the fine leg fence in a hurry

5.5 - C Morris to Root, FOUR, down the leg-side this time around, Root tickles it to the left of the keeper, who dives across but the ball was way out of his reach, runs away for yet another boundary

5.3 - C Morris to Root, FOUR, splays this on the pads this time, this time Root flicks him through square leg, who gives chase but the ball beats him to the fence

5.1 - C Morris to Hales, FOUR, very full from Morris, Hales comes across and flicks it uppishly but in the gap through mid-wicket, runs away to the fence in no time

44.1 - Tahir to Broad, SIX, that's outta here! Floated up around off, Broad clears his front leg, gets right under it and hammers the slog sweep over the cow corner fence for a maximum

27.0 - Tahir to Stokes, SIX, hammered! Stokes kneels down and goes for the slog sweep off this flighted delivery, may not have timed it all that well but it had enough on it to clear the leaping Rossouw at the deep mid-wicket fence

45.0 - Tahir to Broad, out Caught by de Villiers!! The extra ball has provided South Africa with the wicket. Gives this one more air and bowls it fuller outside off, Broad wanted to lift it inside-out over extra cover, miscues it, de Villiers at extra cover didn't move an inch and swallows it. Broad c de Villiers b Tahir 13(22) [6s-1]

43.1 - Rabada to Hales, out Caught by Rossouw!! Hales's brilliant knock finally comes to an end and Rabada has his third wicket of the innings. Banged in short and at the batsman, Hales goes for the pull, made a decent connection but didn't get enough on it to clear the fence. Rossouw from deep square leg runs to his right and takes a well-judged catch in front of the rope. A number of South African players walked up to Hales to congratulate him on his knock. Hales c Rossouw b Rabada 112(128) [4s-14]

36.5 - Wiese to Adil Rashid, out Caught by Rabada!! The Englishmen are gifting their wickets away. Nothing but a full delivery slightly wide outside off, Rashid's eyes lit up seeing the length and the room he had to free his arms, he looks to go over mid-off with a lofted drive but couldn't time it well at all. Holes out to Rabada, who takes a step back and reverse cups it. Adil Rashid c Rabada b Wiese 9(8) [4s-2]

34.5 - Wiese to Woakes, out Caught by Kyle Abbott!! Another one bites the dust and England slip further. Leg-stump half-volley and Woakes picks out fine leg to perfection with his flick. He timed it well, but straight to the fielder, who hardly had to move an inch to snaffle it. Woakes c Kyle Abbott b Wiese 0(5)

33.5 - Kyle Abbott to Moeen Ali, out Caught by Behardien!! Sixth one goes down. Pitched up right in the slot outside off, Ali goes for the drive, doesn't bother to keep it down and Behardien at short cover times his jump to perfection. He could have caught that with both hands, but ended up going for it one-handed, caught it brilliantly with his left hand above his head. Abbott is ecstatic and so is Behardien. Why shouldn't he be, he took a sensational catch there. Moeen Ali c Behardien b Kyle Abbott 12(17) [4s-1]

28.0 - Rabada to Buttler, out Bowled!! Buttler's gone! Two quick wickets and England have lost half their side now. Wait a minute! The umpire checks Rabada's front foot and he is fine on that count. It was not the bowler, but the batsman who is responsible for this wicket actually. Pitched up on the stumps and it tails back in after pitching, Buttler should have been right forward to defend it, but he decides to play that from the crease, was a little late on the shot and ends up getting an inside edge that crashes into the stumps. Takes the leg stump out of the ground as well. Two ducks in three innings for Buttler now. Buttler b Rabada 0(1)

27.5 - Rabada to Stokes, out Bowled!! A rather unusual way to get out for Stokes and he's livid with himself. Length delivery on middle and leg, Stokes goes right across to get inside the line of the ball as he looks to flick it away fine, he fails to connect and the ball crashes into the stumps. Tried to do a little too much there and paid the price with his wicket. Rabada is delighted and so are the South Africans. Stokes b Rabada 29(32) [4s-1 6s-1]

16.5 - Wiese to Eoin Morgan, out Caught by de Kock!! Wiese strikes in his first over and Morgan's poor run continues. This time he jumps out of the crease to give himself room and Wiese bowls it short and well wide outside off, the English skipper had to really reach out for it and can only manage a top-edge as he looks to crack it away, de Kock takes an easy catch and throws the ball in the air in delight after completing the take. Eoin Morgan c de Kock b Wiese 2(10)

13.5 - Tahir to Root, out Lbw!! Tahir was adamant that it was plumb and he was absolutely right. The flipper from Tahir, Root kneels down to sweep but the ball misses the blade and strikes him on the pad right in front of the middle stump. Looked extremely close with the naked eye and Tahir knew it. It was crashing right into the middle stump. Despite the umpire giving it as not out, Tahir ensured that AB de Villiers used his review and well, that has paid dividends for the visitors. So, Root won't become the first Englishman to score three ODI hundreds in a row, at least not this time. Root lbw b Tahir 27(25) [4s-4]

5.0 - Tahir to Jason Roy, out Lbw!! The Tahir experiment has worked and South Africa have the first breakthrough. The quicker leg-break that just turns away slightly after pitching around middle, Roy was slightly squared up as he decided to hang back, he fails to defend and the ball turns past the outside edge and thuds into the back pad. The umpire took some time before raising his finger, much to the delight of Tahir, who had his arms up in joy. Jason Roy lbw b Tahir 8(15)

7.4 - C Morris to Root, 1 run, dropped! How costly is this going to be? Fuller length delivery outside off, Root looks to drive, gets a thick outside edge that goes at a comfortable height to first slip, Amla got both hands around it but just couldn't hold on. Looks very disappointed with himself

7.5 - C Morris to Hales, no run, yorker length delivery outside off, Hales fails to squeeze it out and ends up jamming his bat hard onto the pitch. The sound that came as the bat hit the ground sounded woody and the umpire raised his finger as soon as the keeper went up. Morris wasn't even appealing and he was surprised when it was given out. Sanity prevails as it was overturned on review

3.1 - Rabada to Jason Roy, 1 run, run-out chance missed! Fuller length delivery just outside off, Roy punch-drives it uppishly past the bowler and sets off, de Villiers quickly gets across, picks the ball and fires a throw at the non-striker's end. A direct-hit would have been out, but the South African skipper missed

44.0 - Woakes to Wiese, FOUR, South Africa win by 5 wickets, on a good length and just outside off, Wiese gets forward and drills it through extra cover, no one moved and the ball rolls away to the fence in a hurry

25.0 - Broad to de Villiers, FOUR, lovely shot, banged in short and on the stumps, AB swivels across, rolls his wrists around and pulls it past square leg, bisects the two men in the deep to a nicety, brings up the 100-run stand

19.2 - Adil Rashid to Amla, FOUR, easy pickings for Amla, full toss outside off, Amla gets forward and drives it in the gap between cover and mid-off, splits the gap in the deep and earns a boundary

18.5 - Stokes to de Villiers, FOUR, awful bowling from Stokes, this is a wide half-volley, AB leans into the cover-drive and drills it past extra cover, a futile chase for the man at deep cover

18.4 - Stokes to de Villiers, FOUR, poor ball from Stokes, this is a wide full toss outside off, AB is all over the ball as he crashes it past extra cover, no need to run for those

16.4 - Woakes to de Villiers, FOUR, lovely shot, long half-volley from Woakes, AB gets a big stride forward and thumps it past extra cover, no need to run for those

13.3 - Stokes to de Villiers, FOUR, lovely shot, overpitched and well outside off, AB leans into the shot and flat-bats it to the left of extra cover, no chance for the man in the deep

12.5 - Woakes to Amla, FOUR, cracking shot, way too short from Woakes, Amla swivels across, rolls his wrists around and pulls it behind square on the on-side, bisects the two men in the deep to a nicety

9.5 - Topley to de Villiers, FOUR, too straight from Topley, ends up drifting onto AB's pads, flicked away fine past the keeper, fine leg was inside the ring as well, rolls away to the fence

9.4 - Topley to de Villiers, FOUR, lovely shot, leg-stump half-volley from Topley, easy pickings for AB as he whips it in front of square on the on-side, beats mid-wicket and rolls away to the fence

7.1 - Topley to Rossouw, FOUR, nice way to get going, slightly overpitched and on the stumps, Rossouw leans forward, presents the full face of the bat and punches it back past the non-striker for a boundary

6.3 - Broad to Amla, FOUR, cracking shot, fraction too short from Broad, Amla is quick to rock back and whips it over square leg for a boundary

4.3 - Broad to Amla, FOUR, lovely shot, back of a length and well outside off, Amla stands tall and punches it square past cover-point, the timing is sublime and the ball rolls away to the fence in a hurry

1.3 - Topley to de Kock, FOUR, cracking shot, overpitched and well outside off, de Kock gets a big stride forward and caresses it square past mid-off, the fielder dives, gets a hand onto it but can't stop the ball from reaching the fence

38.4 - Adil Rashid to Wiese, SIX, this is even better! Rashid gave this one more air and on middle, Wiese gets a big stride forward, lifts through the line and sends it miles over the long-on fence

38.3 - Adil Rashid to Wiese, SIX, lovely shot, Rashid gave this one plenty of air, right in the zone for Wiese, he gets forward, lifts it through the line and clears long-on with ease

33.1 - Moeen Ali to Behardien, SIX, lovely shot, the field was up, Behardien takes a couple of steps down the track, gets to the pitch of the ball and lifts it cleanly and over long-on for a maximum

11.1 - Stokes to de Villiers, SIX, AB has made the most of the free-hit, he didn't get hold of the shot, but such is the brute force this man possess, back of a length and just outside off, AB rocks back and pummels it over wide mid-wicket for a maximum

34.3 - Adil Rashid to Behardien, out Caught by Stokes!! Soft, soft dismissal for Behardien, but Morgan's tactics has worked a charm. This was tossed up invitingly outside off, lured Behardien into going over the top, he was playing against the spin, the bat face closed on impact and loops a simple catch to Stokes at mid-on. AB isn't happy with his partner's dismissal, but England are fighting back. Behardien c Stokes b Adil Rashid 13(18) [6s-1]

29.5 - Moeen Ali to Amla, out Stumped!! Rush of blood and Amla has thrown his wicket away! This was tossed up wider outside off, Amla came down the track, doesn't get anywhere near the pitch of the ball, it drifts past the outside edge, simple stumping for Buttler. England needed this wicket very badly, ends a superb partnership. Amla st Buttler b Moeen Ali 59(93) [4s-4]

7.3 - Topley to Rossouw, out Caught by Hales!! Topley is on fire and South Africa are stuttering! Tad fuller and well outside off, Rossouw gets a big stride forward, drives it on the up and offers a simple catch to Hales at short extra cover. He's gutted with himself as he walks back to the hut. Captain Morgan and his English mates are chuffed to bits. Rossouw c Hales b Topley 4(7) [4s-1]

5.2 - Topley to du Plessis, out Bowled!! Double blow from Topley, but this is an awful shot from du Plessis. This was pitched up on off and curved back in, du Plessis was lured into the drive, went hard on the shot, gets an inside edge, the ball clips the leg-stump, the bails are removed from the groove and England celebrate. South Africa find themselves in early trouble. Topley is on a hat-trick. du Plessis b Topley 0(1)

5.1 - Topley to de Kock, out Caught by Buttler!! An early strike by Topley, but England must be thankful for Root for this wicket. He insisted on the review, Buttler wasn't sure, neither was skipper, Morgan. Coming to the ball, this one shaped back in after pitching outside off, de Kock was looking to force it away towards the off-side, gets an inside edge, the ball clips the trousers on the way and it's easily gobbled up by Buttler. de Kock c Buttler b Topley 4(17) [4s-1]

42.4 - Topley to de Villiers, 1 run, 24th ODI hundred for AB, back of a length and just outside off, slower ball from Topley, dabbed away towards third man, gets a big reception from the jubilant Newlands crowd
