Tillakaratne Dilshan pulls out from England ODIs

Sri Lanka opening batsman TM Dilshan has informed the Sri Lanka Cricket board that he will be not available for the ODI series against England due to personal reasons.

Sri Lanka, who are in the midst of the three-match Test series against England, will play two ODIs against Ireland, five ODIs and a Twenty20 against England.

However Sri Lanka is yet to name the ODI squad and Dilshan's absence will leave Sri Lankan selectors to look into new options, including Kusal Perera, who was cleared by the ICC from doping charges.

Perera is likely to take Dilshan's place and Sri Lanka will have to name the other opener for the eight remaining matches of their tour.

The ODIs will begin on June 16 in Dublin, Ireland with two matches set to be played there.

Sri Lanka will return to play England five ODIs, with the first match of the scheduled for June 21 at Nottingham.
