Ravi Shastri quits ICC Cricket committee

After losing out on the coach’s job, former Team India director Ravi Shastri has quit the ICC cricket committee which is to be headed by Anil Kumble.

With the recent turn of events, it looks like, instead of celebrating and welcoming Anil Kumble as the next coach of Team India, the concentration in Indian cricket has been diverted to an ugly verbal spat between Sourav Ganguly and Ravi Shastri.

As per reports, Ravi had expressed this desire to 'quit' to ICC chairman Shashank Manohar earlier as well.

Team India’s newly appointed coach Anil Kumble is the chairman of the ICC committee while Shastri was associated with it as media representative.

The Cricket Advisory Committee which comprised of Sourav Ganguly, Sachin Tendulkar and VVS Laxman along with others in the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) selected Anil Kumble as the head coach.
