Nasir Jamshed suspended by PCB

Pakistan opener Nasir Jamshed has been provisionally suspended by the PCB in an ongoing investigation into the corruption scandal that has hit the Pakistan Super League.

Jamshed has become the third player to be suspended after PCB suspended Sharjeel Khan and Khalid Latif last week.

The board issued a statement,

 

 

PCB has provisionally suspended Nasir Jamshed from all forms of cricket for violating its anti-corruption code.

 

 

The PCB has also been questioning players regarding their involvement in the corruption scandal. 

Islamabad United's Mohammad Irfan, Quetta Gladiators' Zulfiqar Babar and Shahzaib Hasan of the Karachi Kings were questioned but not suspended.

Sharjeel, Latif and Jamshed will now be sent a show cause notice by the PCB according to board chairman Shaharyar Khan.

The 2nd edition of the Pakistan Super League is currently underway in Dubai.
