Sri Lankan captain Angelo Mathews has been ruled out of the T20 series against Australia due to a hamstring injury.
Mathews injured himself during the 2nd T20 against South Africa and flew back to Sri Lanka after the match.
For the last T20, Dinesh Chandimal stepped in as captain and for the ODI series, Upul Tharanga has taken the reins.
The Sri Lankan board said,

The selection meeting on Tuesday will decide the squad and the captain who will lead in the three matches. The team will arrive in Canberra on Monday the 13th.
”
The board is in a fix as to who will be the stand-in captain as Chandimal and Tharanga’s forms haven’t been great and there is no guarantee they will make the playing XI.
