The Strikers had their best run in season 04 in terms of reach, as for the first time they saw themselves in the semi-finals of the tournament. Their chances were slightly dented with Pollard being ruled out due to injury but even without the hard-hitting Trinadadian they have a formidable batting unit. 

With Jason Gillespie calling the shots and Brad Hodge as skipper, this team surely find themselves in the right hands. 

Wicket-keeper Tim Luderman shone throughout season 04 and his presence at the top of the order will set the tone. Luderman possesses the record for the fastest half century in BBL to his name and he would want to live upto that reputation and maybe even better it.

In the bowling department, Richardson, Laughlin and Putland form a potent trio. The local lad Travis head inflicted a massacre on Western Australia blasting 202 off just 120 balls in the one day domestic season earlier this year and will be the trump card for the Striker's.

Moreover, Jayawardene and Adil Rashid are all set to make their BBL debut and you can bet on them to only further lift their team's performances.
