Tendulkar, Ganguly and Laxman to pick India's Head Coach

The BCCI has short-listed 21 names out of the total 57 it received for the post of India’s head coach job.

The shortlisted 21 are the only ones which have met the specified criteria which was announced by the board a few weeks ago.

Former Indian players Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and VVS Laxman will be selecting the coach out of the shortlisted 21. The advisory committee will be coordinated by Sanjay Jagdale.

The committee under Jagdale will conduct interviews and also seek presentations from the candidates as the committee deems fit.

On completion of the selection process, the committee will submit a report, likely by June 22, recommending its choice of coach to the BCCI president Anurag Thakur through secretary Ajay Shirke.

Sachin Tendulkar is currently out of the country but will be available through video conference.

The new head coach of the Indian team will be likely announced by 24th June.
