Mahmudullah dropped by Bangladesh ahead of 2nd Test

Bangladesh have dropped all-rounder Mahmudullah ahead of the 2nd Test against Sri Lanka.

His poor form and performance have led to the Bangladesh management to drop him. However, no replacement has been named yet.

He was at the ground with the team at practice and took part in the warm-ups, but did not train thereafter. He will fly back home to Bangladesh.

Team Manager Khaled Mahmud further said that it has not been decided whether he will be recalled for the ODIs and T20s that follow. However, Mahmudullah has been retained in the ODI squad.*

The 2nd Test is a huge deal for Bangladesh as this will be their 100th Test match.

The 2-match Test series is currently led 1-0 by Sri Lanka.
