Pakistan’s star players have been called up for the upcoming Caribbean Premier League which begins on August 4.
The Champions Trophy winners have been selected in place of some injured players. Babar Azam will be replacing the injured Chris Lynn for the Guyana Amazon Warriors, Hasan Ali is called up as a replacement for Kieran Powell and Hafeez will be playing in place of Ben Cutting for St Kitts and Newis Patriots.
Babar Azam has an impressive average of over 50 in ODIs and T20Is and is a consistent performer for Pakistan in the limited overs format.
Hasan Ali who was the leading wicket-taker in the Champions Trophy 2017 is an ideal replacement for Powell who will be playing the series against England which clashes with CPL.
Mohammad Hafeez is back in the CPL having played two seasons for the Warriors in 2013-14. His experience will be an added boost for the Patriots.
