Sri Lankan middle order batsman Angelo Perera has been called up to join the ODI squad.
He has replaced Nuwan Pradeep, who has been ruled out of the rest of the series with a hamstring injury.
Perera was originally selected to replace Dinesh Chandimal and Kusal Mendis, who injured themselves while playing in the 1st ODI vs Australia. However, both the batsmen have been cleared to play the next ODI.
Interestingly, Nuwan Pradeep has not been replaced by a bowler but rather a middle order batsman.
Sri Lanka are 0-1 down in the ongoing ODI series vs Australia. The next match is to be played on 24th August 2016.
