Due to some technical problems, we are unable to cover live matches on our site and app. We are working on it and will be back soon. Please stay tuned for more.

So, an Ashwin-enforced India jog out to a packed Adelaide Oval. With Yuvraj and Nehra. Get my walkman back to me already, please. And my borrowed cassettes too. Kohli, meanwhile, jogs back and exchanges his cap with that of injured Rahane on the ropes. Live action in a while. Hang on! Yes, the famous Indian huddle is on as Warner and Finch stand hands-on-hip just outside the boundary. Here they walk out. Will Australia hunt this down, like they've done all summer? Nehra, aged 36, has the ball. One slip..

India will be happy with the score - although they would have loved to cross the 200-run mark. Rohit got them off to a flier, Watson - playing in Australian colours after a long while, brought his team back into the match with two wickets in his first over. Kohli continued his purple patch on this tour, Raina struggled but made sure that he rotated the strike well. Together, the duo added 100+ runs for the third wicket. Raina was eventually dismissed for 41, Kohli remained unbeaten on 90 - his career best score in T20Is. There was just about enough time for a three ball cameo from skipper, MS Dhoni. Teams have chased well on this tour so far, but can India defend 188? We will be back in a while..

That's beautifully bowled by Faulkner, this was the back of the hand yorker, Raina went a long way across as he looked to lap it over short fine, the ball dipped onto him, went underneath the bat and crashed into the base of off-stump. 12.5 - Watson to Kohli, 1 run, fullish outside off, driven powerfully down to long-off

12.4 - Watson to Kohli, FOUR, not quite sure that's what he intended. Or maybe he did. Watson shortened his length outside off after seeing Kohli come at him, he adjusts and angles it fine. Very fine to beat short third man. Seemed to have run off a thick outside edge but any which way will do

12.3 - Watson to Raina, 1 run, walks across looking to fetch a ball from outside off and work it through mid-wicket, chops it onto the thigh off the inside edge, the ball drops beside the pitch and the batsmen sneak in a run

12.3 - Watson to Raina, wide, banged in short, very short. Loops over Raina's upright frame

Over: 11 1 4 1 1 0 2 IND 88/2
Kohli 26(22) Raina 20(16) Head 1-0-9-0

10.6 - Head to Kohli, 2 runs, huge mix-up! Raina was initially hesitant but makes it back for the second. Worked wide of long-on, Warner is quick to swoop in, collects and fires in the throw. Huge screams in the middle but no damage done

10.5 - Head to Kohli, no run, comes down the track, not quite to the pitch of the ball looking for an expansive off-drive, chops it back to the bowler

10.4 - Head to Raina, 1 run, some more air on this, drifts in nicely towards middle, eased down to long-on

10.3 - Head to Kohli, 1 run, flatter and turning in, tucked through mid-wicket

10.2 - Head to Kohli, FOUR, blazed through extra-cover. Amazing use of the crease. Darted in and going with the arm from round the wicket, Kohli goes back and slaps it well in front of square

Raina 18(14) Kohli 19(18) Boyce 2-0-13-0

9.6 - Boyce to Raina, 1 run, just four singles off the over. This might have been the googly. Raina didn't give me enough time to spot it as he stretched out and swept it to deep mid-wicket

9.5 - Boyce to Kohli, 1 run, scurries down and slams a flighted leg-break down to long-off

9.4 - Boyce to Raina, 1 run, lobbed up above the eyeline, doesn't dip enough and ends as a low full toss, creamed to long-off

9.3 - Boyce to Kohli, 1 run, backs away while advancing, drives the flighted ball through covers

9.2 - Boyce to Kohli, no run, slightly short outside off, not much, Kohli attemps a cut but it skids on and he ends up chopping it to point

Over: 9 4 1 1 0 1 1 IND 75/2
Kohli 17(14) Raina 16(12) Faulkner 2-0-17-0

8.6 - Faulkner to Kohli, 1 run, seam-up short ball climbing towards Kohli's rib-cage, rolls his wrists on the pull and hits it down to fine leg

8.5 - Faulkner to Raina, 1 run, off-pace delivery drifting on the pads, nurdled wide of backward square

8.4 - Faulkner to Raina, no run, another slower ball, cuts away from a fullish length on off, catches a leading edge and rolls away to backward point. Raina closed the bat-face too early looking to eagerly work it away

8.3 - Faulkner to Kohli, 1 run, dances down and swinges a stunning drive straight of long-off. The fielder hoverboards across and keeps them to a single

8.2 - Faulkner to Raina, 1 run, back of the hand slower ball outside off, Raina waits for it and dabs it down to third man

Raina backs away very late, Faulkner goes through with the delivery and crashes the stumps. Hand goes up in apology. Props to the Aussies. Didn't make too much brouhaha about it

8.1 - Faulkner to Raina, FOUR, just over! Made it into a half-volley outside off by giving the charge, and then flayed the drive over a leaping extra-cover. Got just enough elevation

James Faulkner [1.0-0-9-0] is back into the attack

Over: 8 1 1 1 4 1 1 IND 67/2
Raina 10(8) Kohli 15(12) Boyce 1-0-9-0

7.6 - Boyce to Raina, 1 run, drifting on with the arm outside off, enough width on offer for Raina to camp back and slap it to sweeper cover

7.5 - Boyce to Kohli, 1 run, pushed through the air on middle, Kohli goes deep in the crease and turns it through mid-wicket

7.4 - Boyce to Kohli, FOUR, well done! Lots of wrists on this. Skips down the track, makes sure to get wide enough of the ball allowing himself the room for a clean swing. Then unfurls his wrists on the inside-out loft over extra-cover. Don't think he got all of it. Got it much squarer than intended but evades a chasing deep point

7.3 - Boyce to Raina, 1 run, looped up on the pads, flicked to deep mid-wicket

7.2 - Boyce to Kohli, 1 run, drops it slightly short outside off, 83ks, enough time for Kohli to rock back and cut it hard. Couldn't get it past Faulkner at point. He fumbles though allowing a single

7.1 - Boyce to Raina, 1 run, flatter and turning in on middle and leg, Raina hops back and clips it through mid-wicket

Cameron Boyce, right-arm leg break, comes into the attack

Over: 7 1 0 2 1 0 0 IND 58/2
Kohli 9(9) Raina 7(5) Watson 2-0-5-2

6.6 - Watson to Kohli, no run, ugh! I think Kohli backed away initially, saw that there was enough width already and realized his folly. Got out of reach of the short delivery and couldn't connect with a slash

6.5 - Watson to Kohli, no run, tucked away from middle to mid-wicket

6.4 - Watson to Raina, 1 run, full length ball just outside off, driven to long-off

6.3 - Watson to Raina, 2 runs, takes a couple of steps down and still adjusts by heaving a short ball over mid-wicket. A stroke full of daredevilry. Kind of sliced it but he batswing was so ferocious that he comfortably cleared the ring

6.2 - Watson to Raina, no run, slanted across on a length, Raina stays rooted and glides it to backward point

6.1 - Watson to Kohli, 1 run, back of a length delivery skidding on outside off, Kohli dabs it down to third man

Over: 6 Wd 0 4 Wd 0 2 1 4 IND 54/2
Raina 4(2) Kohli 8(6) Tait 3-0-34-0

5.6 - Tait to Raina, FOUR, nudged in the air, and over a leaping leg-gully. Some really funky field settings. Nearly came off this time. Awkward short of length delivery aiming for the rib-cage, Raina's perennial cryptonite. He shuffles across, tries to work it round the corner, but never in control. Gets away

5.5 - Tait to Kohli, 1 run, flayed over backward point. Wait, what? That's not a boundary? Turns out Finch has positioned a man at deep backward point. Landed just in front of him

5.4 - Tait to Kohli, 2 runs, excellent work from Faulkner at fine leg. Dived full stretch and flicked it back in. Tait is a menace. As much for his captain as the batsman. Another one on the hips, Kohli just tickles it along

5.3 - Tait to Kohli, no run, length ball curling away in the channel, Kohli moves inches forward, adjusts his hands to defend it with the swing towards point

5.3 - Tait to Kohli, wide, bursting past leg-stump, beats Kohli for pace on his glance

5.2 - Tait to Kohli, FOUR, slapped off the front foot. Similar short of length delivery outside off, Kohli doesn't bother going back after the initial stride forward, has a waft at it and cracks it past backward point

5.1 - Tait to Kohli, no run, brisk short of length delivery outside off, Kohli drops it with soft hands into the off-side

5.1 - Tait to Kohli, wide, Tait's radar continues to rumble. It's in haywire mode. Aims the blockhole but ends up slipping down the leg-side, Kohli misses with his flick

Shaun Tait [2.0-0-21-0] is back into the attack

Over: 5 W 1 0 0 W 0 IND 41/2
Raina 0(1) Kohli 1(1) Watson 1-0-1-2

4.6 - Watson to Raina, no run, big round of applause for an excellent over. Draws Raina forward with this one, tamely driven to mid-off

Suresh Raina, left handed bat, comes to the crease

4.5 - Watson to Dhawan, out Caught by Wade!! Deception at its best. Dhawan will go back, look at the replays, and cut an embarrassing look. Slower short ball angled away just outside off, Dhawan saw the length and shaped to pull. But the ball just didn't arrive. Then he tried to change the stroke belatedly and glide it down to third man. Only manages a faint nick through to Wade. Dhawan c Wade b Watson 5(8)

Watson to Dhawan, THAT'S OUT!! Caught!!

4.4 - Watson to Dhawan, no run, pitched up outside off and Dhawan has blasted the drive. Just that he fails to thread the off-side ring

4.3 - Watson to Dhawan, no run, chopped to cover. Went very hard on the drive, wasn't all that full and ends up mistiming it

4.2 - Watson to Kohli, 1 run, a hint of shape away from a back of a length outside off, Kohli goes flirting at it with a flat-footed poke, runs it off a thick outside edge down to third man

Virat Kohli, right handed bat, comes to the crease

4.1 - Watson to Rohit, out Caught by Faulkner!! He's gone now. No mistake this time. Watson celebrates his comeback into the Aussie XI with a wicket off the first ball. Full delivery just outside off, Rohit looks to launch him straight down, the bat turns in his hands and he drags it straight to mid-on. Huge roar from Watto. Rohit c Faulkner b Watson 31(20) [4s-4 6s-1]

Rohit 31(19) Dhawan 5(5) Faulkner 1-0-9-0

3.6 - Faulkner to Rohit, 1 run, stands on his toes and plays a whippy short arm jab through square leg to the man in the deep

3.5 - Faulkner to Rohit, FOUR, flogged over mid-wicket. Amazing stroke. Pitched up and on the pads, Rohit uses his rubber wrists to good effect and whips it away

3.4 - Faulkner to Rohit, 2 runs, ugly slog, spoons it off the top-edge over short third man, and it's been dropped. It's all running for Rohit. Boyce ran back, turned around, and ended up having to dive forward. Didn't get a finger. The swerve in the air might have defeated him. Over-ran it

3.3 - Faulkner to Rohit, no run, ah loose. Didn't bother moving his back foot across to get closer in line with the short ball outside off, ended up missing with his slash

3.2 - Faulkner to Dhawan, 1 run, shortish still outside off, slapped to deep cover

3.1 - Faulkner to Rohit, 1 run, short of length delivery going with the arm outside off, Rohit stands tall and turns it wide of mid-on with a turn of the wrists

James Faulkner, comes into the attack

Over: 3 0 4 Wd 0 4 Wd 1 2L IND 31/0
Dhawan 4(4) Rohit 23(14) Tait 2-0-21-0

2.6 - Tait to Dhawan, leg byes, 2 runs, bending back in looking to crush the toes, lands slightly short of the blockhole and Dhawan glances it away fine. Scampers back for a couple. Oooh, leg-byes is it? I thought there maybe an inside edge. Anyway, on we go

2.5 - Tait to Rohit, 1 run, length ball tiling in towards off, Rohit dinks it wide of mid-on

2.5 - Tait to Rohit, wide, too wide outside off, Rohit initially chases, belatedly aborts

2.4 - Tait to Rohit, FOUR, exhilarating stuff. Tait is cranking it up, 152ks on this short ball. Rohit not backing off either. Swivels across and pulls it in the air in front of fine leg. Richardson charges in, kudos to him for going for the catch. But doesn't get there. Didn't get his body behind the line either and it bounces over his sprawled form

2.3 - Tait to Rohit, no run, haha. Ridiculous stuff. Rohit must be wondering what is going on. Some poor balls interspersed with absolute scorchers. Swinging away on a fullish length outside off, draws him into a drive but beats the outside edge

2.3 - Tait to Rohit, wide, goes chasing after another short ball outside off, this time it's out of his reach

2.2 - Tait to Rohit, FOUR, aww lacerated off the back foot. Short and wide outside off, Rohit pulls his weight back and cuts it with a lot of vigour. Speared it through the gap

2.1 - Tait to Rohit, no run, nudged off the hips in front of mid-wicket, Rohit wanders out looking for a single but is sent back. And good on Dhawan for the early call

Over: 2 1 1 3 0 3 0 IND 18/0
Dhawan 4(3) Rohit 14(9) Kane Richardson 1-0-8-0

1.6 - Kane Richardson to Dhawan, no run, oh ripper! Leaving the left-hander on a short of length, Dhawan dangles his bat at it but it eludes the outside edge due to the angle

1.5 - Kane Richardson to Rohit, 3 runs, lofted through the line. Apparently he's not got proper hold of the stroke. Plugs 5-10 yards inside the long-off boundary and is hounded down. Pitched up and Rohit just goes through with a flowy bat-swing over mid-off. Enough to clear the infield

1.4 - Kane Richardson to Rohit, no run, length ball defended to cover-point on the front foot

1.3 - Kane Richardson to Dhawan, 3 runs, angled away on a short of length outside off, Dhawan rolls his wrists on the pull and forces it through the mid-wicket region. The man in the deep is too square. Before he completes his sprint and returns the throw, three has been snatched

1.2 - Kane Richardson to Rohit, 1 run, hangs back waiting for the short of length delivery to arrive before using all the pace and gliding it down to third man

1.1 - Kane Richardson to Dhawan, 1 run, shortish and slanted away outside off, Dhawan stands and slaps, ends up chopping it in front of cover-point

Kane Richardson, right-arm fast, comes into the attack

Over: 1 0 4 0 6 0 0 IND 10/0
Rohit 10(6) Dhawan 0(0) Tait 1-0-10-0

0.6 - Tait to Rohit, no run, beats him. A typical Tait over with everything in it. This one is a ripper. Angled into the channel outside off on a length before veering away late. Whizzes past Rohit's outside edge as he prods across to defend

0.5 - Tait to Rohit, no run, length delivery with a hint of shape away outside off, left alone

0.4 - Tait to Rohit, SIX, top edged, in the air, fine leg thinks he has a chance. No he doesn't. Richardson is already over the ropes while attempting the catch. And he's dropped that too. Fierce short ball climbing towards Rohit's throat. The Mumbaikar decides to take it on with a pull but the ball gets too big on him. Flies off the top edge

0.3 - Tait to Rohit, no run, short of length delivery wide of off, Rohit drops his wrists and lets it pass

0.2 - Tait to Rohit, FOUR, follows it up with a length ball on the pads. Rohit comfortably clips it behind square. Always been short square boundaries here. Full value for money. No way fine leg is stopping that. So the Tait-garden-hose is all over the place already

0.1 - Tait to Rohit, no run, wild delivery with the speed gun tearing apart on 150ks, short and wide outside off, Rohit goes flashing after it but fails to connect

Rohit and Dhawan are at the crease. Rohit is on strike. Tait will open the attack

Both teams had new players flying in, both had debutants and on a day of celebration for both countries, it's India who have had the last laugh. Can they seal the series at the MCG on Friday and go home with something to show for their efforts or will Australia bounce back to take it to the decider at the SCG? It should be another cracking contest. Do join us for all the action. For now, cheers and bye..

Dhoni: 'I thought the bowling was good. Nehra was excellent coming back, the only way to win against Australia is by taking wickets, I think the bowlers did well in that regard. Rohit gave us a great start, Kohli and Raina batted beautifully. It was tough on Raina and Yuvraj, they had just one session of practice, that's why I promoted myself ahead of Yuvraj. There was pressure on Pandya, it was his first over and that got to him. He did well coming back later on, got his yorkers and wide deliveries right. If he does well, it will be a huge plus for us - he gives us plenty of depth as an all-rounder.

Finch: 'We let ourselves down in the field, an unbelievable innings from Kohli. We were surprised with the amount of spin, but we had eight batsmen plus Faulkner, at the end of the day, we had the batsmen to chase it down. I thought we bowled well, might have conceded 10-15 runs too many. 170 would have been a slightly easier chase, the ball stopped a bit under lights and one or two batsmen failed to adapt to the surface.'

Kohli: 'I really like playing here, would like to take the pitch to everywhere I go. Our T20 World Cup preparation starts from here, we will go on from this game. It was a good batting strip, the ball came nicely onto the bat, I could play my shots. The crowd have been brilliant as well, they have supported us very well right throughout the tour.'

Kohli is the MoM for his 90*

Back-to-back wins for India, although in different formats of the game. A superb Republic Day for India in Adelaide, first, the ladies chased down their highest ever T20I score to stun Australia. Then, the men followed, putting up a spirited effort to upstage Australia by 37 runs. The hosts were off to a flier, Warner and Finch meant business, right from the first ball. They were helped along by some ordinary bowling by Ashwin. Bumrah came in and provided the visitors with some relief, Warner fell for 17. Steve Smith and Finch looked in cruise control, until the former was sent back by Jadeja. It was followed by a dramatic collapse. 4 wickets went down in quick succession. The late order had too much to do and ended up throwing their wickets in the process.

19.3 - Bumrah to Boyce, out Caught by Pandya!! India have bowled out Australia for the first time on this tour. 0.6 - Nehra to Finch, leg byes, 1 run, another one with pace all robbed off. On the stumps, Finch aims for the leg-side with a clip, misses and is rapped on the pads. Talk about a script being repetitive

0.5 - Nehra to Finch, no run, Dhoni sprinted forward to grab that but there was no bat. Off the thigh pad. Rolled his fingers on this ball, the ball came on slowly to beat Finch's hurried one-legged pull. Took the thigh pad and lobbed short of an incoming Dhoni

0.4 - Nehra to Finch, no run, rapped on the front thigh but that was high and India don't clear their throat with an appeal. The ball was on a length and nipped back in, Finch was late on the tuck and missed out

0.3 - Nehra to Finch, no run, did that hit the trampoline? Some more shoulder on this length ball going across, Finch looks to fetch it but is beaten by the extra zip off the pitch

0.2 - Nehra to Finch, no run, some width on this one outside off, Finch looks to cut but chops it on the bounce to the cordon

0.1 - Nehra to Finch, FOUR, there's the ominous start. Shortish on the pads, Finch hauls his front leg in the air, spindles and pulls it to the deep square leg fence

Finch and Warner are at the crease. Finch is on strike. Nehra will open the attack
