Tom Moody: Only in India will you see such enormous talent on the big stage so early! #SarfarazKhan #Impressive #PepsiT20 League

Kris Srikkanth: What an amazing knock by young exciting batsman sarfraz.Great gesture by kohli says namaste and thank you.#BLR vs #RAJ @ibnlive @BLRTweets

Earlier in the day, BLR's batsmen played with guts and gumption to notch up a big score. Despite losing the key wickets of Chris Gayle and Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers steadied the innings and scored a fifty. Sarfaraz Khan then lifted the tempo with a flurry of superb shots. RAJ continue to find themselves at the second spot in the points table. BLR now are placed third.

Due to incessant rain, the game between BLR and RAJ at the Chinnaswamy was unfortunately abandoned. For a brief period, the rain stopped, but then it again started to drizzle and the match had to be called off. It has to be remembered that it would take 30 minutes for the ground to get ready. Both teams shared one point each.

Second straight rain ruined match for Rajasthan. They stay second with 12 points while Bangalore leapfrog Kolkata on net run-rate. Both teams have 7 points each.

23:37 Local Time, 18:07 GMT, 23:37 IST: The umpires are in the middle. It is still raining. Will they call it off? The players have shaked hands. Has the match been abandoned? Yes, it is. Both teams will share one point each.

23:30 Local Time, 18:00 GMT, 23:30 IST: Chances of resumption looks bleak now. The covers are well in place and it continues to rain steadily..

23:17 Local Time, 17:47 GMT, 23:17 IST: Well, this is frustrating. The drizzle is back and so are the covers. We are closing in on the cut-off time.

23:10 Local Time, 17:40 GMT, 23:10 IST: The rain has stopped once again and the covers are being peeled off. There's still hope of this match resuming.

23:01 Local Time, 17:31 GMT, 23:01 IST: We have started losing overs now. The cut-off time for a 5-over chase is 11:58 PM

22:55 Local Time, 17:25 GMT, 22:55 IST: Some good news coming in, the rain has stopped and the covers are being removed. We might possibly have a 15-16 over chase on our hands, if there's no rain. If it's a 11-over game, the target will be 123, for 12, it will be 133, for 13, it will be 141. Scratch all that, the covers are back in place. It's just that kind of a night..

22:50 Local Time, 17:20 GMT, 22:50 IST: We had live visuals of the ground. It is still drizzling at Chinnaswamy stadium and will start losing overs from 11:01 PM. Brace yourselves up for a long night.

22:40 Local Time, 17:10 GMT, 22:40 IST: It is still raining at Chinnaswamy stadium, but the super soppers are at work, removing the excess water on the covers. We reckon they need 30 minutes to get the ground ready once the rain stops completely.

22:30 Local Time, 17:00 GMT, 22:30 IST: The T20 League T20 site has posted a picture of the ground. It is still raining heavily and the entire square has been covered.

22:13 Local Time, 16:43 GMT, 22:13 IST: Well, scratch the previous update. It has started to rain again and the covers are back as well.. The rain has got heavier as well..

22:08 Local Time, 16:38 GMT, 22:08 IST: Good news folks, the rain has stopped and the groundstaff are getting ready to remove the covers.

22:00 Local Time, 16:30 GMT, 22:00 IST: Unfortunately, it started drizzling at the ground and the covers are coming on. The chase will be delayed for sure..

Southee: "It's usually a good batting wicket. Anything is chaseable on this ground. A little bit of swing, but if we see that through, I think we can chase it down. If we had got AB out early, things would have been different. It is quite challenging while you play against some of the best batsmen. He (Sarfaraz) has got some potential and is a player to watch for the future."

For RAJ, Tim Southee swung the new ball to take a couple of scalps up front. The visitors still have a chance of winning the game as the conditions are batting friendly. However, Mitchell Starc will continue to be a threat with the new ball.

AB de Villiers' well-measured knock and Sarfaraz Khan's pyrotechnics enabled BLR to pile up a massive total. With Chris Gayle and Virat Kohli getting out in quick succession, de Villiers anchored the innings. He reached his fifty in style by carting Stuart Binny for a six. However, on the back of a mix up with Dinesh Karthik, de Villiers was run-out. Karthik improvised to play a few cheeky shots. The 17-year-old Sarfaraz then played with a dash of fearlessness to essay a flurry of shots and lift the tempo.
