South African bowler Lonwabo Tsotsobe has been banned from International as well as domestic cricket. The South African bowler has admitted that he tried to fix a match in the Ram Slam tournament (South African domestic T20 league) in the year 2015. 

Along with Tsotsobe, there were other players like Gulam Bodi, Alviro Petersen, Thami Tsolekile, Jean Symes, Pumelela Matshikwe and Ethy Mbhalati who were also involved in spot-fixing and all of them are sanctioned under CSA's anti-corruption code. 

Through CSA's investigation, all the above players did not actually fix the match, but they had tried participating in spot-fixing.

There were 10 different charges on Tsotsobe that he has admitted to.

Tsotsobe said, 

“ 

I wish to apologise to cricket lovers all over the world. I was, at the time, in a very vulnerable financial state and this dilemma too easily persuaded me to participate in spot fixing. There are no words to describe the regret I have in relation to my actions and I hope that the cricket world could consider my apology and understand my deepest feeling of remorse.

”

The other 5 players are banned upto 20 years. Gulam Bodi is banned for 20 years, Alviro Petersen for 2 years, Thami Tsolekile for 12 years, Pumelela Matshikwe and Ethy Mbhalat both for 10 years and Jean Symes for 7 years.
