Krunal Pandya and Basil Thampi have got their maiden call-ups for India A side for the tour of South Africa next month.

Pandya who had an excellent IPL 2017 with Mumbai Indians and Basil Thampi who took 11 wickets in his debut IPL season were both included in the 16 man squad. 

Pandya who was influential for Mumbai side scored 243 runs with an average of 34.71 and also took 10 wickets with the economy rate under 7.

Manish Pandey will lead the squad, who has recovered from the side strain suffered during the IPL.

The series will start on July 26 with a triangular series which also involves Australia A. India will then play South Africa A two four-day games in August at Benoni and Potchefstroom.
