BCCI and ICC have finally reached a consensus

BCCI and ICC have finally reached an agreement on a new financial model.

During the ICC’s AGM on Thursday in London, the ICC Board approved the new model in which BCCI will receive US$405 million. This is $112 million more than the earlier model which was proposed by ICC.

As per the final model, ICC earning will be US$2.7 billion in the new rights cycle from 2016-2023. After cutting down ICC expenses and costs, the available extra is US$1.776 billion.

Out of US$1.776 billion, Full members will receive US$1.536 billion and Associates US$139 million. From the Full Member’s share, BCCI will receive US$405 million and the ECB US$139 million.

Each of Cricket Australia, Cricket South Africa, Pakistan Cricket Board, New Zealand Cricket, Sri Lanka Cricket, Cricket West Indies and Bangladesh Cricket Board will receive $128 million. Zimbabwe Cricket retains the same share that was presented in April - $94 million.

The total reduction of US$32 million from the eight boards and a cut of US$40 million from the Associates’ share have accounted for increasing of BCCI's share.

BCCI who were unanimously outvoted at the April meetings will feel extremely satisfied.
