Bangladesh have announced their Test squad for their tour of Sri Lanka.
Fast bowler Mustaifizur Rahman finally returns to the squad after missing out due to a shoulder injury.
Mustafizur was not included in the Test squad for the one-off Test against India as the management felt he wasn’t 100% fit. However, he went back to Bangladesh's first-class competition, playing two rounds of the Bangladesh Cricket League and proving himself fit.
Bangladesh's chief selector, Minhajul Abedin said,
“
I am really impressed with the way he bowled in the second innings. I think he got back his rhythm.
”
Fast bowler Rubel Hossain also returns to the squad, after missing out due to lack of form.
Bangladesh are set to play 2 Test matches against Sri Lanka, the first starting on March 7th and the second on March 15th, which will also mark Bangladesh’s 100th Test match.
