Australia name three uncapped bowlers in ODI squad against South Africa

Australia have picked three uncapped fast bowlers in their ODI squad for the upcoming tour of South Africa.

Daniel Worrall, Joe Mennie and Chris Tremain have been chosen in the ODI squad after Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood were rested for the tour of South Africa.

Worrall, Mennie and Tremain have been rewarded for their fantastic performances in the domestic season.

Nathan Coulter-Nile, James Pattinson, Pat Cummins and Peter Siddle were all not selected due to injuries plaguing each one.

National selector Rod Marsh stated,

Chris, Joe and Daniel all had terrific summers last year and have also impressed us during the recent Australia A series with consistent performances. They are young players with a bright future who thoroughly deserve their selection.

Meanwhile, Usman Khawaja was left out of the squad along with Glenn Maxwell but Travis Head found a spot in the team.

Australia ODI squad:

Steve Smith (c), David Warner, George Bailey, Scott Boland, James Faulkner, Aaron Finch, John Hastings, Travis Head, Mitchell Marsh, Shaun Marsh, Joe Mennie, Chris Tremain, Matthew Wade (wk), Daniel Worrall, Adam Zampa
