When it comes to Indian Cricket, the controversies just refuse to die. First the disastrous tour of England was riddled with lack of match practice, injuries, unfit players being drafted, Vaseline, shoelaces and everything else that could possibly go wrong. And, of course, the results.

But the biggest talking point of the whole series was Virender Sehwag. It all started with Sehwag playing in the IPL in spite of a shoulder injury that finally got so aggravated that he had to quit the IPL after 11 matches for a shoulder surgery. This surgery effectively ruled him out of India’s tour of England. Without Viru the destroyer

But with the Indian team in deep trouble,  Viru was suddenly given all clear by BCCI’s medical committee and flown to England where only thing worse than his performance was the fact that he was still unfit and this madness sidelined him further.

It turned out that he was ruled out of England’s tour of India too. With Sachin also out it put a lot of pressure on the new comers. But at least Viru was resting and would comeback after proper recuperation we all hoped. The tour of Australia is going to be a test of Indian batting strength and it was imperative that Viru gets ample rest and it fit in time for it. Right?

And then we discovered the Titans of Cricket

I will leave you with that while I pick up the bits of my brain off the floor.
