Panyangara to Imad Wasim, FOUR, superbly done by Imad Wasim. Panyangara delivered the yorker length delivery outside off, but Wasim opens the face of the bat on the slice and gets it in the air, beats Masaka's dive to his left at backward point and also foils the sweeper's attempt to get across. Panyangara has his hands on his head but that's full marks to the batsman. All about Wasim's finesse as he used the depth of the crease to play a high quality shot
18.2 -
Luke Jongwe to Imad Wasim, FOUR, Imad Wasim has nailed that. Luke Jongwe bowls the slower delivery and it sits up nicely for Wasim who clears his front leg and drills it in the air, was just wide of extra cover in the ring, races away giving long-off no chance. Hit with power that one
11.4 -
Utseya to U Akmal, FOUR, another bad ball and Akmal gets his second boundary in a row. Dragged short and outside off, Akmal had all the time in the world to rock back and pull to the vacant deep mid-wicket fence, had to clear mid-wicket which he did easily
11.3 -
Utseya to U Akmal, FOUR, like Rizwan, Akmal too gets off the mark with a four off his first ball. Unlike Rizwan though this is a cracking shot. Helped by Utseya's generosity though, short and wide outside off, Akmal cuts and beats Chigu's dive at backward point. Sweeper had no chance
10.4 -
Cremer to Rizwan, FOUR, no chance for Masakadaza at slip. Very quick edge and even though he went to his right to catch that, the ball flew past him even before he could react. Quicker outside off, turned away too, Rizwan was shaping for the cut and got the top edge wide of slip. Gets off the mark with a four
9.5 -
Utseya to Shoaib Malik, FOUR, dragged down and Shoaib Malik did well to find the boundary at deep square leg, it kept low but Shoaib Malik crouched low and somehow manufactured a pull to bisect the two men in the deep. A pressure-releasing boundary too as Zimbabwe were bowling well and quickly getting through their overs
8.5 -
Cremer to Shoaib Malik, FOUR, twice in two overs that Utseya has failed to do his work in the field. It was glanced to his right at short fine leg, he clumsily went to his right and put in the dive but the ball beats him and runs away to the fine leg fence. Should've done better there
7.2 -
Sean Williams to Maqsood, FOUR, bad bowling and not good fielding too by Utseya at backward point. Dragged down short outside off, Maqsood cut that hard and late, beats Utseya's lazy dive to his left. No protection in the deep and a boundary for Maqsood
6.5 -
Luke Jongwe to Maqsood, FOUR, no slip and edged through the vacant region. Width was there outside off, Maqsood slashes hard to a back of a length delivery and gets the edge. Luke Jongwe doesn't have a catching man behind the wicket and the edge runs away to the third man fence
5.2 -
Sean Williams to Maqsood, FOUR, this time he beats extra cover's dive to his left. Again short and wide outside off, Maqsood cuts and cuts hard. Gets it in the gap and will find four names to his name
3.4 -
Panyangara to Ahmed Shehzad, FOUR, no respect whatsoever that time. Pre-meditated but he got good wood behind that shot, full on the stumps, Ahmed Shehzad shuffles across and then clears his front leg to heave it to the deep mid-wicket fence, one bounce over the ropes, that is a long boundary and it nearly went all the way
2.3 -
Chibhabha to Hafeez, FOUR, can't drag it down. Not at Chibhabha's pace. It sat up to be hit for Hafeez and he swivelled on the pull, rolled his wrists on it and placed it to the deep backward square leg fence
1.5 -
Panyangara to Hafeez, FOUR, top square drive by Hafeez. It was just the fraction of width outside off he needed to free his arms and he latched on. Full outside off, Hafeez leant on the shot and beat the diving backward point to his left. Third man gave chase to his right but couldn't get there. Didn't dive too
1.0 -
Chibhabha to Hafeez, FOUR, that's nicely done by Hafeez to deep backward square leg, it was short and sat up to be hit. Hafeez rocked back and thumped the pull to the fence. Swivelled on the shot and was always in control of the shot. Good way to end the over
17.3 -
Panyangara to Afridi, out Caught by Sean Williams!! Afridi goes second ball. He was aiming towards cow corner as he looked to slam the length ball outside off, the ball flies off a thick outer half and settles in long-off's hands. Another simple catch and Afridi disappoints with the bat. Afridi c Sean Williams b Panyangara 2(2)
16.4 -
Luke Jongwe to Rizwan, out Caught by Sean Williams!! Third slower delivery in a row and now Luke Jongwe gets the result he was looking for. Rizwan kneels down to loft and doesn't get the required elevation to clear long-on. Easy grab for Sean Williams. A long boundary that one and Rizwan didn't get it anywhere near the middle of the bat on the attempted big hit. Rizwan c Sean Williams b Luke Jongwe 16(16) [4s-1]
11.2 -
Utseya to Maqsood, out Caught by Chigumbura!! Now Maqsood goes. Chigu takes it and lies flat on the floor beaming in delight. Maqsood stepped out to loft but got the outside half of the bat, lobbed straight up in the air and Chigu from backward point took a few steps to his right to take a simple catch. Pakistan are frittering away their advantage. Maqsood c Chigumbura b Utseya 26(25) [4s-3]
10.3 -
Cremer to Shoaib Malik, out Caught by S Raza!! The pressure has got to Shoaib Malik and he has holed out. Tries to find the fence but can only find the fielder. Charges out and lofts, not a clean connection and long-on comes forward to take a good low catch. Cremer has deserved that wicket. Another wicket at the right time for the hosts. Shoaib Malik c S Raza b Cremer 15(13) [4s-2]
6.2 -
Luke Jongwe to Hafeez, out Caught by Utseya!! Just like that he is gone now. Very soft dismissal. On middle, Hafeez nonchalantly clips and finds mid-wicket. Easy catch and Hafeez is gone. Luke Jongwe strikes. He liked taking the wicket as he does a modified version of the Samuels salute. A big smile followed the gesture. Hafeez c Utseya b Luke Jongwe 17(18) [4s-3]
3.5 -
Panyangara to Ahmed Shehzad, out Caught by Cremer!! Ahmed Shehzad has given it away. He can't believe that he has found the fielder. Stands there for a moment in disappointment before trudging off. Full outside off, Ahmed Shehzad takes a step forward and outside off to play the square drive, slices it to Cremer's right at point. Taken well as the ball was travelling. Zimbabwe needed that and it is Panyangara who has provided the breakthrough. Ahmed Shehzad c Cremer b Panyangara 7(9) [4s-1]
