Welcome back for the run chase. The players are making their way out to the middle. Wheeler to open the attack with one slip. He also has a catching fielder at short mid-wicket

However, once Taylor was dismissed by Finn, they lost the plot. For a brief period, Elliott struggled to keep the scorecard ticking and that didn't help their cause. To his credit, Elliott didn't press the panic button and upped the ante by smacking Willey for 17 runs in the 46th over. Mitchell Santner too landed hefty blows in the 48th over bowled by Adil Rashid, thwacking him for four sixes. Wood was clearly England's best bowler. He kept it tight and rarely offered width for the opposition batsmen to free their arms. Finn supported him well. Willey was expensive, but made key breakthroughs. The deck is flat, and England still have a glimmer of a chance of overhauling the target and level the series 2-2.

On the back of a superlative knock by Kane Williamson and Grant Elliott's timely contribution, the visitors reached a massive total. The able pace duo of Steven Finn and Mark Wood though, by mainly looking to hit back of a length and occasionally mixing it up with slower ones, were able to stem the run flow to some extent. Earlier, after Brendon McCullum and Martin Guptill essayed handy knocks at the top of the order, Williamson and Ross Taylor stitched a crucial century stand for the third wicket to put New Zealand in the ascendancy.

5.3 - Finn to Guptill, no run, nice and straight from Finn, Guptill offers a gentle defence

5.2 - Finn to Guptill, no run, back of a length and probably just nipping away off the deck, Guptill opened up slightly, but he manages to defend it off the back foot

5.1 - Finn to Brendon McCullum, 1 run, short of length just outside off stump, McCullum hops and taps it towards short cover, Billings rushes in and under-arms the ball towards the bowler's end but Baz was home

This is Sidhant Maheshwari, signing off on behalf of Mahesh and my co-commentators, Ramakrishnan and Bharath. Ciao!

What a game it was! In fact, what a series this has been. Both teams have been playing some exceptional cricket, especially in the batting department. The series currently stands at 2-2 and it is a fair reflection of how both teams have played. The final ODI should also be another cliffhanger as both these teams will lock horns for one final time in the series on Saturday. Don't forget to join us then.

Steve Davis: 'I thought I was going okay until Brendon (McCullum) told me to lead them off and that's when I lost it. I got very emotional then. Respect of the players has been a great thing to have over the years. I think I have been around for so long and haven't done things too badly. I do get along with them and I appreciate what they do. This series has been unbelievable, what a way to go out! Meeting all these great players, meeting people in different countries, having the chance to travel and stand in the best spot to watch some great cricket, it's been a great life (on what's the best thing about being an ICC umpire). There are no regrets at all. I was fortunate to stand as an umpire in the Ashes, I've done a boxing day Test and nowadays, Australians can't do that of course (on his best game as an umpire). Some terrific games, three World Cups and it's been a great, great time in my life. I think there's a lot more pressure now and the good guys wear that pressure and handle it well. If I made a mistake and the players got a bit upset with the decision, I would say,' I am sorry that I messed up'. What else can you do about it other than apologise? I would tell them (young umpires) to go out and enjoy the game. If you're not enjoying it, you probably shouldn't be doing it.'

Morgan: 'Full credit to the boys. Hales and Roy came out and played unbelievably well. The rain probably worked in our favour. The openers set the tone for us. It was a reasonable bowling performance, we struggled to take wickets in the middle overs though. If you can't get the experienced players out, you will always struggle. We always thought something close to 340 will be a good total for us. Both of them bowled really well, Finn was really great and Wood is a great asset to have. This gameplan (of playing aggressive cricket) seems to be working for us as well. With Stokes in the form that he is in, it is important to have him early and that's why we want him to bat at No. 5. I think the style with which we play is important than the result in the next game. The way we are playing, it's very encouraging at the moment. We will be focussed on the process and will be geared up to play against a champion side like New Zealand.'

Eoin Morgan is the Man of the Match for his 82-ball 113

McCullum: 'It was an incredible run-chase. At the halfway, we thought it's a big total. We thought that they would have to play really well if they had to achieve this, but the way Morgan and Root batted was brilliant. We were outplayed. We weren't as accurate as we should have been. Credit to England, chasing 350 is very difficult and to do it 2-1 down in the series was a great achievement. Our attention now turns to the final game. It skidded on nicely and they got some good partnerships throughout. We never got in the game during the run-chase. We weren't quite good enough, despite scoring 350. There'll be a period where you don't score too many, the batting powerplay was like that. But credit to the guys with the way they kicked on after that. He (Morgan) is in the form of his life, he is a champion fellow as well. Hopefully, we can get him early in the next game. We came over here to try and win the series. We can still do that in the last game. Both countries have been toe-to-toe with each other and it's only right that it will be decided in the final game. On behalf of the New Zealand team, I would like congratulate him (Steve Davis) on a tremendous career. He has obviously been a great custodian, an ambassador of the game and we wish him well on his retirement.'

Although Brendon McCullum set some interesting fields, both batsmen managed to find the gaps at will. Morgan reached his hundred off just 73 balls, his 8th in ODIs before Tim Southee ended his 198-run association with Root. It was the highest stand for England against New Zealand in ODIs. Root then completed his hundred, his 6th in ODIs and third in his last 6 innings. He shared a quick-fire stand with Ben Stokes before finishing the game off with 36 balls to spare.

Despite chasing a mammoth score, England played with no fear to register a win and level the 5-match series 2-2. Although Alex Hales and Jason Roy took a few balls to get going initially, they counter-attacked in style and recorded a 100-run stand for the opening wicket before the former was dismissed. In the process, Hales registered his 2nd ODI fifty at his home ground. Soon after, Roy was caught brilliantly at short cover by Williamson, despite him hitting the ball very hard. Skipper Eoin Morgan joined Joe Root at the crease and the duo were aggressive throughout as they kept England way ahead of the asking rate.

Officiating in his last international game as an onfield umpire, Steve Davis too gets a standing ovation from the crowd. The Black Caps players applaud his contribution towards the game as he leads them off the field. You can see tears in his eyes as he walks off. The English players and support staff too walk out and congratulate Steve Davis and the Kiwi players.

Stokes too had him arms aloft in joy as the ball travelled to the fence. The English players are extremely happy as well as you can see them hugging each other in delight.

18:57 Local Time, 17:57 GMT, 23:27 IST: Good news folks as the sun is out now, a little bizarre under the circumstances. The great thing is that we should get underway soon. Restart will be at 19:05 local.

18:54 Local Time, 17:54 GMT, 23:24 IST: Looks like it is clearing up quickly. It has become brighter at the ground as well. Hopefully, it won't be long before we are back with action. Meanwhile, the groundsmen are using the rope to take some moisture off the outfield.

18:48 Local Time, 17:48 GMT, 23:18 IST: The umpires have had enough with the drizzle getting heavier. They are taking the players off the field and the groundsmen are putting the covers in place. Remember, we have extra half an hour before we start losing overs.
