The Holdingwilley IPL 5 Report

The IPL-5 has come to an end. The cricket extravaganza as few like to call it, commenced on 4th April 2012, two days post the first anniversary of team India's World Cup victory; more importantly, on the back of disastrous tours of England and Australia. Holdingwilley, like earlier years has come up with its very own IPL report.

This report will be divided into 5 parts:

The first part of the report discusses the build up towards IPL-5. It includes the pre-IPL 5 buzz and how it unfolded right from the auction of the players. It will very briefly talk about various other factors such as change of captaincy in various teams, the BCCI - Sahara friction and why and how even BCCI needs this year's IPL to be a lot more successful than the previous one considering the viewership ratings had taken a dip.

The second part of the report will take into account how the IPL-5 has unfolded. The entire schedule of the 76 matches with the results and critical moments will be put forth.

The third part will in detail analyse the hits, flops and surprises the IPL-5 has come up with. This will include the analysis of the team, how certain players of a team have performed and what impact did they have on the performance of the team. Holdingwilley, prior to the IPL had come up with its predictions such as who will be a dark horse of the team, who will shine at the tournament etc. So, it will also highlight the fact how our predicted dark-horses have fared over the course of the tournament.

The fourth part will analyse the entire IPL-5 season using the same parameters as used above (in part three) but more in a manner of a conclusion. The Terminology Section will take a look at the terminologies used for this report.

The fifth and final part will highlight the bloopers, controversies and the funny moments the IPL-5 had.
