The aussies were probably the best side in this series.
But India were by far the best team in the finals.
So there is something there for everyone.
India fans will be excited.
Australian fans will be confused.
Gilly is gone, well done sir.
Hogg is gone, please exit through back door when no one is looking mister.
Sachin may never dance on our grass again.
And Kerry’s tournament is going the way of the Dodo bird and Britney Spears.
With Kerry’s series passing, and underwear cricket taking over, you must think that one day cricket is going the way of the dodo bird and Kerry Packer as well.
But Indian fans will still jump up and down with glee, gay in the knowledge that their side beat Australia.
And Australian fans will jump and down with glee, happy in the knowledge that they won’t have to hear the Indians whinge in Australia for a couple of years.
Cricket fans won’t really care about a one day tournament being won by India, since the England won it last year.
Hardly a great form line.
