India's 1983 World Cup winning captain Kapil Dev, was granted amnesty by the BCCI. Kapil was banned after he became a part of the rebel league ICL. He is now entitled to receive Rs 1 crore as part of the BCCI's one-time scheme as also his pension.

It's about time. To treat a legendary all-rounder the way the BCCI have is shameful. No cricketer should have to endure this. The ICL was just a way to ensure cricketers could make ends meet. Now the IPL has taken over which is BCCI approved. That remains the only difference between the two leagues.
