Chris Gayle returns to the West Indies test squad for the first test against New Zealand starting on July 25.
Squad: Darren Sammy (Capt.), Chris Gayle, Adrian Barath, Kieran Powell, Assad Fudadin, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Marlon Samuels, Narsingh Deonarine, Denesh Ramdin, Tino Best, Kemar Roach, Ravi Rampaul, Sunil Narine.

After a hiatus, Chris Gayle will finally represent WI in tests. He and WICB have fallen out for quite some time due to their inability to settle the differences amicably. However, the recent developments and successful negotiations with WICB saw him participate in 50 overs and T-20s for WI. Now, it is the icing on the cake as he is included in the test squad of WI.
The inclusion of Gayle will add a much needed strength to the WI batting line up. With Gayle back in the squad, Chanderpaul's workload will get a much needed relaxation.
