Yes, it is on. India will finally play against Pakistan for a first bi-lateral series post 2007. The series will be held in India in December 2012. The venues and the dates of the series are yet to be decided. However, the cross border cricketing ties are set to resume. The series will be held during a Christmas break of England's tour of India.

The discussions over the last year or so have finally borne fruit. Pakistan will be travelling to India for 3 ODI match series in December 2012. The cricketing ties had gone for a toss post the Mumbai attack in 2008. The recent development is a positive one, if the cricket is concerned. However, the chances are plenty that the decision will face few bouncers from the political parties from both the sides.

Considering the schedule of the series, this may well be called as 'a sandwich series'.
