News :
Mohammad Amir had his first one on one counselling session with a sports psychologist, hired by the Pakistan cricket Board to help reform the teen-aged player.
"It was a very good session and the most positive aspect is that Amir himself realises his mistakes and wants to redeem himself," Dr. Maqbool Babri on Sunday.
The PCB has hired Babri who is also a hypnotherapist to hold counselling sessions with not only Amir but other players who have had disciplinary and attitude problems in recent years.
"Babri will not only work with Amir but also some other players who we feel can serve Pakistan cricket well in the future but need to change their attitude and discipline themselves," chief operating officer Subhan Ahmed said.

Forgive him, for he knows not what he has done. It's almost as if the PCB are suggesting that their players have something wrong in their heads. They could use a little counselling though. Maybe on how to be a little more consistent, or maybe on how not to shoot oneself in one's own leg. A counsellor only guides the players into find their own path. They should just get married. Then they will be told which their path is and where they need to go and what they need to do, all for free!
