News :
Cricket Australia has interviewed former Pakistan captain and coach, Waqar Younis, as Craig McDermott's successor for the position of the Australian bowling coach.
Waqar, who is based in Sydney since finishing his two-year term as Pakistan coach last year, has spoken to CA's team performance manager, Pat Howard, about taking on the role that was left vacant by McDermott at the conclusion of the Australian tour of the West Indies.

Almost all those batsmen whose toes he broke have retired. So he should be safe. It will however be interesting to see how the Australian team reacts to Waqar as a coach. Will he step on any egos while teaching the bowlers to crush toes? Waqar has proved his credentials as a bowler. The question CA should ask themselves is whether he can share that knowledge without any ambiguity.
