The international future of troubled batsman Jesse Ryder is in doubt after he chose not to seek a new contract with New Zealand Cricket.
New Zealand Cricket chief executive David White said the decision not to take up a contract for the 2012-2013 season was made by Ryder in consultation with his management and the New Zealand Cricket Players' Association.

Ryder no more features in the list of players that are under contract with New Zealand cricket board. Ryder, in the past had disciplinary issues. He has expressed the need to work without media pressure and the commercial demand.
Will this take Ryder to the pinacle of his abilities? If it does, it will certainly benefit New Zealand cricket and a justice will be done to the talent that Ryder possesses.
