News :

Ajit Chandila took a hat-trick as he ripped through the Pune Warriors top order to lead Rajasthan Royals to a 45-run win in their IPL match on Sunday.

Chandila reduced Pune to 11 for three at one stage and they were eventually restricted to 125 for nine in reply to Rajasthan's 170 for four.

Ajinkya Rahane and Shane Watson were the mainstays of the Rajasthan innings, the former making 61 off 47 balls and the latter 58 off 31, including four sixes.

Rajasthan Royals are looking a team worthy to be in the play-offs. Shane Watson has brought a whole new sense of aggressivenes to the team. If Ajinkya Rahane and Rahul Dravid continue to give such great starts the other teams might find themselves chasing leather more often than not. Pune of course, were as poor as they have been throughout this tournament. A batting line-up that is out of form and a bowling line-up that lacks the wicket taking ability. Pune clearly do not deserve to and will not make it to the playoffs.

It was a great day for young Chandila. Two wickets in the last two balls of the first over and a wicket on the first ball of his second over completed his hat-trick in his first game for RR.
