RCB moved back into the top four of the IPL table after another swashbuckling innings from Chris Gayle inspired them to a comprehensive victory over Mumbai Indians.
Powerful West Indies batsman Gayle bludgeoned an unbeaten 82 from just 59 balls - claiming the orange cap in the process - to ease Bangalore to a nine-wicket win after Mumbai had posted just 141 for six.

Mumbai never stood a chance once they dropped Chris Gayle's catch. You don't drop someone like Gayle and hope that he doesn't hit you. With a plan in mind to not give Malinga any wickets, RCB clinically decimated the other bowlers. Apart from Harbhajn who looked his former wicket-taking self, the rest were hammered. Mumbai are not playing to potential and if they continue this way do not deserve a play off berth. RCB on the other hand are coming good at the fag end of this tournament. Virat Kohli looked like he stuck some good form as well.
