The Kolkata Knight Riders players have been issued a gag order ahead of their high profile clash against Pune Warriors. The Kolkata management has asked their players to not interact with the media. 

 As a matter of fact, the team had hired a PR firm to arrange players' interaction, but the agency now says they were helpless as the Knight Riders had stopped responding for quite some time.

So the Knight Riders have been asked to shut up. They're going to play the silent brooders of the IPL and not engage in needless banter. Since their captain is all Gambhir (which means serious in Hindi), they're planning on living up to his name. 

Maybe the team management is a big fan of the Christmas Carol Silent (K)night.

The most likely reason would be to avoid sounding stupid (like Yusuf Pathan's batting).
