Our View: Spending Shillings
West Indies have brought off-spinner Shane Shillingford into their squad for next week's second Test against Australia in Port-of-Spain.
Shillingford is the only new name in a 14-man squad after the Windies suffered a heartbreaking three-wicket loss in the first Test, which finished in Bridgetown yesterday.
The 29-year-old played the last of his five Tests so far in November 2010 after his bowling action was deemed illegal on the tour of Sri Lanka.
After undergoing remedial work he toured Bangladesh last year before claiming 38 wickets in five matches during the recent domestic four-day Caribbean season.
West Indies will look to square the three-match series when the second Test begins at the Queen's Park Oval on Sunday.
West Indies squad: Darren Sammy (capt), Kirk Edwards (vc), Adrian Barath, Carlton Baugh (wk), Devendra Bishoo, Kraigg Brathwaite, Darren Bravo, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Narsingh Deonarine, Fidel Edwards, Kieran Powell, Ravi Rampaul, Kemar Roach, Shane Shillingford.
