With the news trickling in of the PCB's decision to purchase bombproof buses, I am wondering who handles the PR for them? Probably Geo News! This is an utter disaster. Yes the unfortunate Sri Lankan cricket team faced a different kind of music on their last tour, but this will not help PCB coax other teams in to touring Pakistan again.

 

I mean I had been shot at in Iraq and then Iraq Embassy sends me return tickets to Baghdad along with a Kevlar suit, it wouldn't make me feel any safer. It would make me feel that the things are so bad there now that Iraq cannot offer me a safe trip and hence are giving me a Kevlar suit instead. Like hell I would take that offer up! Okay fine I would take up the offer, accept the Kevlar suit, hang it in my living room and tear up the tickets.

 

This not the way to go about it PCB. What's next? Tanks and Anti-aircraft guns around the stadium? This is not instilling confidence in visitors. Don't buy new buses, give the money to local security forces to invest in better equipment instead. Donate that money to the fight against terrorism instead. 

 

There can be no peaceful tours till the players can be there with a peace of mind.
