This was Sri Lanka’s last chance to save some face as they batted first. After a whirlwind start they had the openers back in the hut as SL reached 63/2 after 6 with 54% COW. Chandimal batted beautifully for a fifty but there was so support at all from the other end as Kumar fell for 9 and Mathews struggled to score 14. SL eventually collapsed from 133/4 to 141 all out in 19.3 overs with 40% COW. As has become a norm Pakistan got off to a flyer before stumbling to 45/3 after 7 with 62% COW. Asad and Misbah then took Pakistan to relevant safety before Asad was out. Misbah continued in company of Shahid whose brief cameo calmed the nerves before Misbah took Pakistan home by 5 wickets with 3 balls to spare.

Dilshan and Tharanga got SL off

to a blinder before Tharanga was out for 12. Chandimal and Dilshan helped SL pile up 55 runs in the first 5 overs as their COW went up by 5% to 54%.

Pakistan fought back with key

wickets of Dilshan and Sangakkara as Sri Lanka struggled to keep the momentum going. 36 runs were scored in this period bringing their COW down by 1% to 53%.

15 overs: SL 119/3

SL 49%

Despite Chandimal batting with

great aplomb Sri Lanka struggled to score 28 runs as Mathews was completely off colour and wasted quite a few deliveries. This saw their COW crash by 4% to 49%.

Cheema, Gul and mindless run outs

saw them lost their last 7 wickets for 22 more runs as Chandimal top scored with 56. This collapse was Sri Lanka’s COW tumble by 9% to 40%.

2nd Innings (Pakistan : Target 142) - 20 overs Maximum

5 overs: PAK 36/1	PAK 66%	Farhat and Hafeez gave Pakistan
		a quick start as expected before Hafeez was out for 12. Asad joined Farhat and scoring rate dipped but 36 runs in this period saw their COW jump 6% to 66%.
10 overs: PAK 58/3	PAK 62%	Pakistan hit a bump as they lost
		Farhat for 19 and Umar for a golden duck. But Misbah walked in and joined Asad to calm the things down. 22 runs in this period dipped Pakistan’s COW by 4% to 62%.
15 overs: PAK 91/4	PAK 69%	Asad and Misbah batted sensibly
		and they slowly inched towards the target before Asad fell in the 15th for 33. 33 runs were scored in this period as Pakistan’s COW increased by 7% to 69%.
19.3 overs: PAK 142/5	PAK 100%	Shahid Afridi lasted just 15 balls
		but this 22 runs he scored helped Misbah guide Pakistan to a win by wickets with 3 balls to spare as he remained unbeaten on 48.
