Man of the Match: R Bopara and S Raina Lord's, London (11 September 2011)
cow-analysis

Rahane and Parthiv got India off to a cautious start as India reached 38/0 after 10 with 39% COW before both launched an attack and by the time they were both out India had raced to 74/2 after 16 with 48% COW. Dravid and Kohli struggled as they battled to ensure there wasn’t another collapse but Swann picked them both up to reduce India to 110/4 after 26 with 46% COW. This brought MSD and Raina to the crease and they both batted brilliantly to set the pace as India reached 171/4 after 40 overs with 34% COW. 109 runs came off the last 19 overs as Raina and Dhoni smashed their way to their fifties and took India to a commanding 280/5 in 50 overs with 55% COW. England knew they had to attack from onset and they stuttered as both openers were out with score at 36/2 after 6 with 52% COW. Bell and Trott looked to steady the innings but Trott played on to a delivery bringing Bopara to the crease. Bopara and Bell batted sensibly by taking singles and twos as India tried to build pressure. When Bell holed out off Jadeja England were 162/4 after 33 with 39% COW. Ashwin got rid of Strokes soon after but Bopara played the innings of his life in company of Bresnan and Swann as England edged towards the target. Rain interruptions kept messing up the teams’ calculations as Duckworth Lewis threatened to decide the game and it was almost cruel when the rains ended the match just as Bopara was caught for 96 with both teams tied as per D/L score.
