Easier to say when you didn’t have to chase it down!

Original Story:

England were on the backfoot at 27 for two, while chasing 275, but skipper Alastair Cook said he did not believe his side was staring at defeat in the first ODI against World champions India in Chester-Le-Street. Scorecard

"You never know what's going to happen. It was a good wicket, a big oval and the outfield was quick. The target was gettable," said Cook, as economical with his words as he is with his footwork at the crease.

India, put in to bat, scored 274 for seven from their allotted 50 overs and made inroads into the England innings, sending back both the openers, for only 27 runs on the board, before rain washed out the rest of the day.
