cow-analysis

It was Chris Gayle story all over again as he pummeled the MI attack on his way to a blazing 89 and by the time MI got rid of him, RCB were cruising at 150/2 after 15 with 59% COW. However the support cast couldn’t keep up the momentum as RCB were restricted to 185/4 after 20 with 60% COW. MI crumbled in the face of the challenging target as barring 40 from Sachin not a single batsman crossed 20 as RCB spinners Vettori and Syed Mohammed snared 5 wickets for 44 runs between themselves to keep them down to 142/8 and win the match by 43 runs.

arrow 5 overs: RCB 67/0 RCB 55% If the opposition batsman is total
rampaging form playing with God mode on and you have the bowler to stop him, you should NOT use the plate league bowler who then proceeds to to concede 27 off the 1st over. Bangalore’s chances increased by 6% during this period.
arrow 10 overs: RCB 111/0 RCB 60% A mature innings by Agarwal that
consisted of hitting bad balls and giving Chris Gayle the strike worked when Chris Gayle inning’s was solely to inflict indescribable punishment to the ball. Bangalore’s chances increased by 5% during this period.
arrow 15 overs: RCB 150/2 RCB 59% Gayle departed trying to hit one back
to Sri Lanka but he had put Bangalore into a really dominant position by the time he left. Bangalore’s chances decreased by 1% during this period.
arrow 20 overs: RCB 185/4 RCB 60% Sourabh Tiwary found it impossible to
time the ball while playing some the ugliest shots possible and the Rest of Bangalore was not better as the death overs failed to match to Gayle’s pyrotechnics. Bangalore’s chances increased by 1% during this period.

arrow 5 overs: MI 41/1 MI 42% No storm from Blizzard (we profusely
apologise for this pun) but Tendulkar and a surprising up-the-order Harbhajan kept Mumbai on course. Mumbai’s chances increased by 2% during this period.
arrow 10 overs: MI 80/3 MI 41% Both Sachin and Harbhajan departed
leaving Mumbai in a slight pickle though they did have some middle order strength left in them. Mumbai’s chances decreased by 1% during this period.
arrow 15 overs: MI 103/7 MI 12% The super-human Mumbai batting line-up
flopped horribly and for the last time as Mumbai floundered around. Mumbai’s chances decreased by 29% during this period.
arrow 20 overs: MI 142/8 MI 0% There is a certain pathetic feel to the
team that plays for “pride” when the match is lost and all you have left to do is play out the overs. Good cricket it is not. Bangalore won by 43 runs.
