cow-analysis

Watto and RD finally gave RR a great start but both fell in same over as at halfway mark RR were 74/2 with 49% COW. Once again rest of the batsmen failed to build on the platform as RR could muster only 146/6 with 45% COW. As expected Dilshan and Gayle blazed away to a fifty partnership and when Dilshan was out RCB were already half way there at 69/1 after 7 with 66% COW. Gayle continued unabashed in Kohli’s company who played a solid innings to take RCB home. Gayle remained 70* off44 balls as RCB crashed home by 9 wickets with 3 overs to spare.

cow-key
  1st Innings (RR) - 20 overs Maximum

arrow 5 overs: RR 32/0 RR 50% The dysfunctional couple of Watson and
Dravid did not get too many runs on a slow jaipur pitch but importantly did not lose any wickets. Rajasthan’s chances increased by 2% during this period.
arrow 10 overs: RR 74/2 RR 49% Watson and Dravid got their partnership
rolling at a good rate before both of them were snapped up by Aravind. Rajasthan’s chances decreased by 1% during this period.
arrow 15 overs: RR 112/3 RR 49% Proportionally Rajasthan were exactly
the same as they were 5 overs ago, thanks to some horrible running from Botha. Rajasthan’s chances did not change during this period.
arrow 20 overs: RR 146/6 RR 45% A poor finish by Rajasthan, who depend-
ed badly on Taylor and who flopped today. Rajasthan’s chances decreased by 4% during this period.

  2nd Innings (RCB: Target 147) - 20 overs Maximum

arrow 5 overs: RCB 50/0 RCB 63% Dilshan faced 18 balls compared to
Gayle’s 12, but the 50 was still, keeping Gayle at the non-striker’s end might be the most positive or pro-active of tactic’s I feel. Bangalore’s chances increased by 8% during this period.
arrow 10 overs: RCB 90/1 RCB 72% Warne snapped up Dilshan but Gayle
slipped into the occasional marauder role instead of all-out pirate. Bangalore’s chances increased by 9% during this period.
arrow 17 overs: RCB 151/1 RCB 100% Bangalore professionally rolled to
victory and at strike-rate of 159, Chris Gayle might just be disappointed with his performance. Bangalore won by 9 wickets.
