KTK lost Baz in the first over and struggled as they scored just 35/2 in 6 with 42% COW. Apart from Jayawardene who scored a fifty other threw away their starts till he found support in Hodge whose rapid 35 helped KTK end with 156/5 with 45% COW. KKR got off to a brilliant start as Morgan and Kallis put together a steady stand but Kallis and Gambhir fell off consecutive deliveries as KKR reached 69/2 after 11 with 56% COW. Morgan scored his first fifty of IPL but wickets kept falling at the other end as KKR could only score 139/7 and lost the match by 17 runs.
