India was clear COW favourites but Pakistan had every chance to upset the applecart. India got off to a scorching start and by the time Sehwag fell India was 49/1 after 6 with COW of 57%. Sachin continued playing a stellar innings but all Indian batsmen failed to support him as India tumbled to 205/6 in 42 overs with COW down to 48% before Raina hit some big ones to take India to 260 with COW of 54%. Pakistan’s inning mirrored India’s and apart from Hafeez at the top and Misbah later no one really settled in. Indian fast bowlers kept the line and length right and spinner broke their middle order as Pakistan never had their COW over 50% and eventually were bowled out for 231 runs.

different wicket as he got India off to an incredible flier. India’s chances increased by 4% during this period.

Wahab Riaz bowled with pace, accuracy

and discipline then brilliance to get rid of Kohli and Yuvraj off consecutive deliveries. India’s chances decreased by 8% during this period.

PAK 53%

Once again India seemed to squander

a good start as their middle order was faltering and the batting power-play was yet to come . India’s chances decreased by 4% during this period.

50 overs: IND 260/9

IND 54%

Raina ensured that no death over collapse

would happen on his watch though and got a competitive total for India .India’s chances increased by 7% during this period.

2nd Innings (PAK: Target 261) - 50 overs Maximum

8 overs: PAK 43/0	IND 51%	Pakistan’s start was not as explosive
		but with the final target it was more than enough. Pakistan’s chances increased by 3% during this period.
16 overs: PAK 72/2	IND 54%	The going suddenly got more difficult
		for Pakistan with 2 quick wickets including the in-form Hafeez. Pakistan’s chances decreased by 3% during this period.
32 overs: PAK 141/4	IND 62%	Pakistan were in trouble, with Younis
		and Misbah playing a sunny gavaskar 1975 innings and pushing the required rate up. Pakistan’s chances decreased by 8% during this period.
49.5 overs: PAK 231	IND 100%	Pakistan’s required rate caught up
		with them and by the time Misbah began to unfurl shots, it was a tad too late. India won by 29 runs.
