Dilshan (144) and Tharanga (133) put together 282 runs for the opening wicket completely demolishing the Zimbabwean bowling attack. By the time Tharanga was out in 45th over their COW was already 71%. Next 5 wickets fell in a heap as SL ended at 327/6 with COW of 73%. Zimbabwe needed a good start and they got it from Taylor (80) and Chakbava (35) put together 116 runs till Murali bowled a beauty to bowl Chakbava in 20th over with Zimbabwe’s COW at 35%. No other batsman crossed 20 as Dilshan and Murali picked 7 wickets between them and skittled Zimbabwe for 188 in 39th over.
